Bye I just saw some spot official concept art and he was so chubby and his spots changed shapes depending on his mood :[ so y'all who head canon spot's spots turning into hearts? I have great news

OKAY ACTUALLY I SEE IT!

Now if I may- I like to think Hotshot was the first to introduce him to eyeliner and he'd just steal borrow it from her. Also Race is all about doing his boyfriend's makeup and whenever Spot stays over he lets Race do that and sometimes paint his nails black if they're feeling fancy. Spot is on my list of characters who'd absolutetly wear black nail polish (Morris and Davey are also on there 😌)

Newsies headcanon!!

If there's a new Brooklyn newsie, Spot goes to work with them. He makes sure they have boundaries with creepy adults and that they can take care of themselves while working. That's partially how he gains the new newsies' respect, by showing that he cares.

Short and Angry™️

he’s literally the biker stereotype from the outside (other than the fact that he’s short)

the muscles, the leather jacket, the black and red color scheme, the dark sunglasses he takes off AFTER dramatically walking into a room, big biker boots, the whole 9 yards

if he takes off his leather jacket, you can see his arms are absolutely c o v e r e d in mediocrely done tattoos from back alley shops and his crew of dumbass friends

the rest of him is pretty much covered, too, but he leaves his neck and hands blank

cause behind the “bad-boy-nobody-fuck-with-me” persona is a guy who cares if he can cover up his tattoos around women to come across less intimidating

he’s also got a leather bracelet hotshot gave him for his 16th birthday on his wrist at all times, he never takes it off

cause spot conlon, in all his biker glory, is so incredibly soft for his friends and family

he’s the guy that elmer calls when he’s sad so they can hop on their bikes and drive until elmer can remember what he was so upset about

oh my god i haven’t talk about his bike yet

he found a busted up harley that didn’t even start in his freshman year of high school and dedicated all his time and money to fixing it

he cried when he got it to start the first time but don’t tell anyone or he’ll break your nose and steal your kneecaps

this thing is his pride and joy, his life’s work, hell he literally called it his magnum opus when he first showed the boys

at first it ran really well but was busted to all hell and needed just as much magic to fix the outside as he had conjured to make the thing run at all

he started slow, just getting decent unpainted pieces that fit the original make and model of the bike, just to keep it held together well

then he got upholstery for the seats and begged miss medda to help him figure it out cause he can rebuild the engine of a bike from the ground up at age 15 but can’t for the life of him use a needle and thread

then he gathered all the money he has been saving for the past 4 years at this point (by the time the bike was finished he was l e g a l l y allowed to drive it with a motorcycle license) and got it painted

custom painted, with custom plates (TK0BIH0 aka the king of brooklyn is here, cause he’s a giant nerd) and it is beautiful

if you ask him about his bike prepare to sit through a 4 hour storyline of the bike, 2 hour rant about the fundamentals, and an hour lecture about maintenance and a short and sweet warning about not touching his bike

Musician Newsies? Like what instrument they'd play?

Davey: Piano or violin and I'm so unable to choose I'm leaving you with those two options

Jack: Ukulele (maybe even guitar)

Katherine: she was forced to play piano but didn't like it. Not a very musically talented person imo

Sarah: Sarah sings! (Just like Davey but ykyk) she doesn't play any instruments but has a beautiful voice!

Race: hear me out squishy keys what's it called? Accordion! Accordion is what I meant! And also harmonica to annoy everyone around him

Spot: Honestly if he could he'd probably play the drums but in canon era that this is written for I guess nothing :(

anymore Halloween headcanons? specifically couples costumes for Javey, Sprace, Lovebirds, or Crutchtrack? I need ideas I’m drawing them :P

But let's go either way!

Javey! Davey always insists on something nerdy so there was a:

Failed attempt at Jay Gatsby and Nick Caraway back from when they weren't even dating. Katherine teased Davey about it non-stop for they both knew what the book is really about (Nick's gay feelings for Jay obvs)

Whatever the hell he came up with for Dead Poets Society. Jack said it's not really a costume because Davey would dress like this on any given ocassion.

Hanschen and Ernst were debunked in a similar manner although Jack enjoyed the idea more. It's not scary enough.

Jack always wants to be a cowboy and tries to incorporate that but they usually find something like a middle ground which isn't really in the middle.

Also hear me out Bonnie and Clyde Javey because Davey loves history and Great Depression is one of the most fascinating subject and Jack (I forgot his name is that normal? I though it was Jeremy for like 10s) is interested in the west.

Sprace:

They did Joker and Batman once (You can take a wild guess who was who) but other then that they try to settle for actually horror related things.

They got themselves spooky masks and were to lazy to do anything more then that. Still they managed to freak poor Davey out.

They usually wait till last minute to plan it out and then do a makeshift costume in like two hours. So they paint their faces and all.

Also that doesn't really go with the rest but hear me out Willy Wonka and his Oompa-Loompas. No one wanted to be the latter.

Lovebirds

Romeo and Juliet chat! Seriously it worked out this one time after Finch actually Read the story to Romeo!

Okay but like how about silly clowns/jesters. Romeo did their makeup and they were just dressed funnily because they didn't feel like doing something scary.

Jeremy Heere and Michael Mell! I don't know man but maybe! I'm thinking of some other ideas from musicals and maybe some of the characters from TBOM (The Book of Mormon)

Rich and Michael! From Be More Chill! Hear me out Race was Rich because he's energetic and silly and Crutchie was Michael.

Now I didn't watch the whole thing but someone from Steven's Universe or any other animated series. Specifically SU though because Crutchie is a huge fan.

Aliens? You see the vision right?! Specifically the Ikea ones. They even took their plushie with them to empathise the point.

Also Watson and Holmes (BBC because Race wouldn't read the books I love him but still)

Jekyll and Hyde. Katherine was Hyde by the way and the whole evening she was walking kind of bent down to show that she was short. There is only one person that got their costume and it's Davey.

Jordan and Daisy from the Great Gatsby. Again not a lot of people got it but a little more then the last one.

Orpheus and Eurydice. They're both Hadestwon fans and I'll die on that hill.

Heather Chandler and Veronica. Sarah was Veronica and Kathy was Chandler.

They attempted to do Marvin and Wheezer but failed miserably and we don't talk about that.

I just want them to do Elle and Emett like hello?! They'd so be Elle and Emmet no questions asked.

Sally Bowles and Cliff maybe? But I'm not sure to be honest. Though they'd definetly consider that.

This might be too American coded, but highschool newsies hc? Like what clubs/activities they'd do, how popular they would be, etc

Okay this I have some ideas for thank God!

Jack! He's popular and well liked. An art kid! He's apart of an art club (that's a thing right) and obeviously in the Theather departament helping Medda with making the set and taking up one of the lead roles.

Davey! Not popular. Not popular at all. I mean aside from the fact he's friends with the newsies. That's why he's known in the school. As for the clubs: Debates team! He's absolutely killing it in the structured debates as the third speaker! (Basically he's the contra. He makes his defense on the stop. I mean I was the third speaker and I need him to be one too!) He's also in the school newspaper and yearbook comitee. He could also be in the chess club. The more the better! He wants to look good on his collage applications if that how it works.

Race! He's popular just like Jack. He isn't really invested in many clubs aside from Theather. He is the dance capitan almost each year. I just think Race wouldn't care about school all that much. He has good grades in maths and science but he's almost failing English.

Spot! I headcanon he dropped out at 17 and started working at a garage. But I mean while he was there he probably joined the chess club he and Davey's till play against each other.

Katherine! One of the popular kids! She's also on the debates team (speaker number 4). What's more she's also on the yearbook comitee and working on the school newspaper. She's also a class (school?!) president!

Sarah! Not as popular as her girlfriend but still decently well known. She's working on the school newspaper. She's also a choir kid! She sings very beautifully and gets solos. If it's a thing!

Morris loves going to the cinema. It's dark, he gets to see a scary movie and watch how people get terrified. He also loves popcorn and the cinema he goes to sells it fairly cheap.

He always wanted to keep a pet but there is no space to do that, it costs too much and he doesn't trust himself with an animal.

He likes snakes. Hear me out on this he's a snake fan. He also loves to go on long walks by himself and listen to music. He'd sometimes skip school to do that.

He had to retake a year at school because he didn't pass (mostly because he was absent too much but yk he also failed some subject)

Oscar is good at maths and he got a scholarship at some collage (average one but still) he though of denying it and going to work instead but Morris convinced him otherwise

He is good at playing cards and even better at cheating at cards. He once made like 100$ off of it.

His favourite place in the world is the rooftop he gets to sit on because well it's quiet and he loves to watch how the city looks at night.

Spot! His special interest are cars. He's very good with them and dropped out of school to work at a garage and support his family.

He and Davey are close friends because they both enjoy quiet and peacefulness and just rant to each other. They're also both autistic trust me.

Davey tought Spot how to play chess (he already knew the basics from when he'd go to school and practise in the library) so now the two of them spend Sunday afternoons playing and chatting.
