Ok hi everyone, it’s me again. Like I’ve said before, I know my blog is light hearted but this is something I really want to discuss. It’s important, both points.
Right. So the first point I want to discuss is hate anons. Let’s be honest, recently we’ve all seen them going around. I really want to stress that they anon hate is UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR and that it NEEDS TO STOP. NOW. It is so, so wrong. Some of you don’t realise that yes, you are interacting with a person. A living, human person. Someone with feelings and a heart which you could break instantly within the click of a button. Why you would want to send anon hate? I don’t know, but what I do know is that it is cowardly and damaging and it needs to stop. Get yourselves together. Just because you don’t like something or don’t like someone, doesn’t give you the license to say horrible things about them and possibly affect them for a long time, maybe even permanently. There are better ways of saying you don’t like something, or better yet, keep it to yourself. I know that for some of you, it’s impossible and unheard of, unseen, but you need to stop. Grow up, put your big people pants on and stop sending others hate. In a world so full of hate, why add more? What are you achieving? Wow you upset someone and have damaged them psychologically, would you like a standing ovation? Well buddy it’s going to be a long night because you sure as hell aren’t getting one. And if you justify your hate by saying that ‘you were upset’? Not good enough. That is no justification, at all. Stop the anon hate because it is not ok. It is HURTFUL AND DAMAGING.
The second thing I wanted to talk about is also related to asks. I’ve seen quite a few asks where an anon or just someone has sent an ask which is a paragraph full of love and compliments and the answer to that ask is...... ‘thanks’ (and that’s it) or ‘no, that’s not true’. In my opinion, there’s a problem there. I understand that it’s not everyone’s style to send lots of hearts and exclamation marks etc, and I know everyone is allowed to answer asks however they want, but come on. An anon or just someone has taken time out of their day to try and make you feel good and let you know how much they love you/ your work. To me, that’s such a kind, lovely thing to do and it should be at least acknowledged, if not appreciated. Why not say ‘Thank you, that was so kind of you’ or ‘Thank you I appreciate that’ instead of ‘thanks’? At least then the person knows that you actually read and took in what they said. Some of you may not agree and think just saying ‘thanks’ is perfectly fine, and that’s your opinion, I’m not trying to change it, but this is just personally what I think. People appreciate the blogs and the content creators, but what about the lovely messages and asks that fuel them? What about the heartfelt asks that motivate the creators’ and brighten their days? I, myself, am a creator of sorts and I always strive to let my followers and just anyone who sends lovely asks and/or messages that they are loved and appreciated! I do read their messages! The messages and asks do help! I just think that sometimes we need to spread love to our audiences. Our audiences that our silent heroes. Don’t let the hate anons take the stage here, let’s give our audiences some hype, let’s let them know how much we love them.
Basically, what I’m trying to communicate through this post is that it is NOT ACCEPTABLE to send hate anons of any type, but also that the stage can’t just go to the hate anons, we need to acknowledge and spread love to our kind anons, the ones who motivate us. Spreading love costs nothing, spreading hate does. It costs the person on the receiving end, their mental health. Don’t spread hate when you can spread love.
To everyone that read through the full post, properly, thank you. I hope it can spread awareness. ❤️
