Switching between tasks when you have ADHD is like having a thousand member line queue in your head and you have to get through all of them before you can move on to the next task. Which is why it's impossible to rip your mental focus away when your brain is dependent on getting to the end of the queue before moving on to something else. It's why social media really sucks for this because the feed is endless and so you're just stuck there trying to move and screaming that you need to use the bathroom or drink water or go to sleep or grab a snack from the side and you just .. can't let go of where your brain is focusing on, you can't Interrupt the Queue.
