Longrow Whisky 100° Proof Batch No. 2

Longrow is the name given to Springbank’s heavily peated single malt. While the barley malt for the classic Springbank is kilned over a peat fire for about six hours, the process for Longrow lasts a full 48 hours. In addition, Longrow is double distilled. The result is a characterful, oily, smoky whisky that is often compared to the powerful expressions from the island of Islay, yet retains its own distinct maritime character and unmistakable Campbeltown spice.

Cask type: Ex-Bourbon casks and ex-Rioja casks (2.5 years) 57.1% alc./vol. Non-chill-filtered

Amazing robust flavor SpringBank. Choking berry and baked hard biscuits with kindle smoke aroma. Knocked out fragrance. With powerful mouthfeel, bewitching berry and overpowering bitter sweet flavor with moist soil. Whispering spices finish then exquisitely beautiful berry and smoke, bitter sweet and honey, earthy soil remains longly. This SpringBank was one of my seeking bottle, and beyond my expectations.
