PB

This weekend I had my 5km charity race. My spring into success April goal was to get a PB of 5km in 30 mins. Unfortunately April was mad for me and I needed to focus on other things and didn’t manage to train as much as I’d planned BUT yesterday I finished in 30 mins and 13 seconds. I was so pleased. I didn’t look at my pace, time or distance AT ALL the whole way round. Looking at my Garmin splits (although the distance seems to be off somehow...) after the 3km marker, my pace drastically reduced! But it picked up in the last quarter of a mile. I am so proud that I achieved my goal and not only that but I ran 5km ALONE which I’ve never done before. Just me and my music. It was great. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend. Much love xx

Spring Into Success Day 36

D36; May 2 Final Report; What goal(s) have you reached? How do you think you did, given the circumstances of every day life and things being put in your way? 

While I didn’t make exercise a habit because life had other plans, I was able to cultivate the genuine desire to do so. I’m fighting with myself less about it, I’m finding myself wanting to work out and getting antsy if I don’t get to and am able. And if that desire doesn’t get me to the point of habit, then nothing else will because that’s what I think I’ve needed the most: the recognition that I need this and that it’s something I have to work for. I haven’t quite figured out the amount of work needed because I haven’t seen any results, but it’s a process.

Final Report; What goal(s) have you reached? How do you think you did, given the circumstances of every day life and things being put in your way?

Ughh can’t believe that this challenge has ended, it went by so quickly! I definitely have reached more awareness of what I can do and what my body needs to become healthy. My goals of eating healthy and working out have been on and off but I do know that me being healthy feels so much better than me eating junkfood 24/7, I’m home right now for the weekend and stepped on the scale after 2 weeks of eating french fries and chocolate. Well I’’’ll tell ya, I am going to change my eating habits as soon I am back at my internship again. Oh my.. I think I could have put more effort into the challenge in the last couple of weeks but I did pretty good in general I think.

Spring Into Success Day 35

D35; May 1 What was your favorite post/day/thing from the last 5 weeks? It doesn’t have to relate to this challenge. 

My favorite thing is that even though I’ve been dealing with injury things since April 10th, I’m still wanting to get back into it. I love that I decided to get back into an exercise video game that I’ve had for a while just to see how I would do and that it’s easy enough for me to know how to push myself with it.
