They’re always out
Mae: Ask the Knower if it knows everything, then it would know what information will help her save Bea. So why doesn't it tell her the information she needs?
“Why do I have to ask you questions? If you know everything why don’t you tell me what I need to know.“ Mae asked angrily. “One can not see the future, one can not know what to ask.“ The cat replied. “Can you at least tell me how to save Bea?“ Mae asked. “She isn’t in need of saving.“ The cat replied. “She’s talking to a dark god for answers! I already have someone who has all of the answers, she doesn’t need to talk to it anymore!“ Mae shouted. “Mortals always calling things that aren’t gods, gods“ The cat didn’t answer the question. “Answer me you stupid cat! Aren’t you The Knower and know everything!“ Mae shouted again. “Seconds ago little ones are asking me if I’m the one they call The Knower, even though they know The Knower lies.“ The cat said. “How do you know what I know! Why wont you answer my questions!“ Mae shouted starting to get annoyed. “I know all, it is a fact of this universe.“ The cat replied. “A fact by who!“ Mae shouted. “The one that created this universe.“ The cat replied. “Wait someone created this universe?“ Mae said calming down a little. “Not someone, something.“ The cat replied. “What are they then?“ Mae asked. “You already know.“ The cat replied. “Again with this bullshit! Just! Answer! My! Stupid! Questions!“ Mae yelled. “So you agree these questions are stupid.“ The cat replied. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!“ Mae screamed into the sand, laying in it. “Fine Mr. smart guy, what’s a smart question?“ Mae asked, getting up from the sand. “The questions that will help you defeat it.“ The cat replied. “Alright fine, let’s play your game.” Mae said very annoyed.
>Mae and/or Bea: Ask another question.
Bea: Ask the thinker about his daughter. What is the disease that she has? When did she start feeling sick? What could be the cause of it?
“What’s the disease?“ Bea asked. “What your friend calls shapes.“ The voice replied. “What caused it?“ Bea asked. “I did, a foolish man asked for the promise of life and as punishment gave her the disease.“ The voice replied. “Why would you do that?“ Bea asked surprised. “Every deal has it’s downsides.“ The voice replied again. “Was she born with it? Can you stop it?“ Bea asked. “She was born with it but it’s symptoms didn’t start until the man died. The only way to stop is through a deal.“ The voice replied. “Did the man not hold up his end of the bargain?“ Bea asked trying to get more information. “He did what was asked of him.“ The voice replied. “Then why did you curse his daughter.“ Bea asked. “That was never discussed as a part of the deal.“ The voice replied. “Wow you’re an asshole.“ Bea said to herself. “Careful mortal, I might think twice about helping your friend.“ The voice threatened
>Bea and/or Mae: Ask another question.
Bea: Ask if Mae and the daughter have the same triggers for the shape episodes? If so, what are they?
“So what exactly are the shapes?“ Bea asked. “I need sustenance to retain my power. I consume what The Poisoner poisoned the planets with.“ The voice answered. “So that’s why the cult sacrificed people. Wait how does that pertain to the disease?“ Bea said confused. “I am attached to my daughter and your friend, when my power is low I have to consume.“ The voice replied. “Do you want to, or are you doing this because something bad will happen if you don’t.“ Bea asked. “Nothing in this world can want only do.“ The voice replied not answering the question. “Okay... Is there a way to detach you, to stop the shapes from happening?“ Bea asked, getting to the point. “Give me more sustenance, or make a deal“ The voice replied. “Will either stop this for good?“ Bea asked. “Only if you specify in the deal.“ The voice replied. “Hm...“ Bea thought to herself.
>Mae and/or Bea: Ask another question.
Bea: Read the chapter called The Caller
“The caller is said to be the saddest of the creatures. It is often described as a giant cat, one as big as a galaxy. It used to be prankster, and messed with anything it can find.“ Bea read. “Heh, sounds like you so far.“ Bea jabbed at Mae. “So you’re saying I’m a giant the size of a galaxy, thanks Bea you know exactly how to cheer someone up.“ Mae retorted. “The Caller has pranked any and all creatures it has come by. It stopped when the last one to be pranked, was pranked. The texts refer to it as The Master, The Master is only ever referenced in texts that references The Caller. The Master did not take too kindly to it’s pranks and punished The Caller. The Master made The Caller wear Tollmetron, the constellation that rings when the world dies. The bell was placed to never let the The Caller out of The Master’s sight, but being the mischievous cat it is, it learned to move without ringing the bell. It moves silently between the stars and hangs out around life infested planets. If you see it in the night’s sky, leave the planet immediately. If the bell rings, The Master will immediately destroy the surrounding planets, punishing them for harboring The Caller. The Master is theorized to be The Knower, another dead creature, or the creature that created the universe. It is impossible to say, seeing as he is only mentioned along side The Caller, and is mentioned no where else.“ Bea read. “Holy shit, this master guy sounds like an asshole.“ Mae said. “Well the book did say the cat was an asshole.” Bea said. “Hm, doesn’t really sound like the dark god.“ Mae said. “Let’s keep looking“ Bea agreed.

Read the Poisoner
“The Poisoner is described to used to be a giant bird, one that looked sickly and close to death. It poisons everything it touches, but filling empty space or killing other creatures. It is the creature that started life, it poisoned a planet and created life. It is one of the few creatures who are immortal.“ Bea read. “Wait, ‘used to be’? Is it dead? But the book said it was immortal.“ Mae asked. “Let’s find out.“ Bea replied. “Since it started life, it was punished, severely. Since it is immortal it cannot die, so The Knower and The Thinker agreed to cut it up and spread it’s pieces all throughout the universe. This is the only recorded time that The Knower and The Thinker ever agreed. It is still alive, all of its pieces can move independently. This creature is your best chance at defeating another creature that has wronged you. If you can find all of the pieces and assemble them, the creature will be forever in your debt.“ Bea read. “So most people’s last chance at winning is a jigsaw puzzle? That’s really weird.“ Mae said. “Is there anything in this book that isn’t weird?“ Bea asked rhetorically. “The only knowledge of The Poisoner comes from it’s reconstructed head, constructed on an unknown planet. It told it’s story to those who assembled it, who recorded it on the ancient tablets. Shortly after the head finished it’s story The Knower destroyed the planet for trying to remake The Poisoner.“ Bea read. “Man this knower guy is an asshole,“ Mae said. “Yeah, well what if The Poisoner is a bad guy, he is called The Poisoner after all.“ Bea suggested. “But he created life, like how does that poison a planet.“ Mae asked. “Maybe it’s like getting ants in your house, annoying small creatures eating all of your food.“ Bea replied. “Do they even eat?“ Mae asked. “Let’s keep reading to find out.“ Bea replied.
>Mae: Pick another chapter.
Bea: go back to the table of contents and tell us which chapters we haven't read yet
“Wait so which ones haven’t we read yet?“ Mae asked. “Uhhhh...“ Bea flipped back to the front of the book. “Looks like there’s just The Thinker and The Knower left.“ Bea said. ”They look like the biggest chapters.“ Bea said. “Saving the best for last.“ Mae replied.
>Mae: choose one.
TV Shows
Pick 10 TV Shows and name your 2 favorite characters from each. I was tagged by debratrolley. 1) Avatar the Last Airbender: It's always good to start with a classic. Hmmm, definitely Zuko and Iroh. They both stick by their principles, no matter what they have to give up or who they need to cross to do so. 2) Once Upon a Time: Emma and Killian. Emma's fiercely independent and determined, Killian's quick witted and loyal, and both of them are snarky and ingenious. 3) Sleepy Hallow: Abby and Jenny. Clever and heroic twins who kick ass and take names, sign me up. 4) Firefly: Zoey and Inara. What can I say, women who know their minds and won't let others push them around appeal to me. 5) Dollhouse: Echo and Boyd. Seeing those two on screen always inspired and horrified me. Powerful effects deserve recognition. 6) Doctor Who: Donna and Rory. The character development for these two, and the ways that their story arcs were handled, were heartbreaking. 7) Yu Yu Hakusho: Kurama and Yusuke. Their fights were always the most cleverly handled and I admired/sympathized with them the most. 8) Inuyasha: Kouga and Kagome. Determination, the drive to do what's right, and a kind heart is a combination that will always get me. 9) Card Captor Sakura: Touya and Syaoran. Something about their protective streaks. 10) Ouran High School Host Club: Haruhu, Haruhi, Haruhi is my absolute favorite. I'm actually not sure who is my second favorite. The rest of the host club are all about equal in my eyes and I didn't connect as hard with the people outside of the club. Since I have to pick, I'll go with Kaoru. Partly because I am particularly fond of the twins' antics and partly because of how far he's willing to go to ensure that his brother is happy. Whelp, that took a while. Now it's time for me to nominate ten people to join the games and, of course, anyone who is interested is free to volunteer. 1) spyofspook 2) shewhotakesnoselfies 3) iamhopemarie 4) colorfulcheshire 5) Berethlalaith 6) lisashay 7) captainjackhotass 8) theramblertwo 9) Suittigirl 10) mindlegend77
