Art Progress 01/07/2020: Return to Drawing
I fell off the bandwagon with regular drawing before the middle of May. Thankfully, after reviewing some comments on a YouTube video yesterday, I realised the value of regular drawing and modified my goals for it.

I think the lynch pin of this return centers around the importance of drawing as an anchor for remembering things (words, phrases, book extracts), as well as a method for deeper concentration (something I have struggled with for years), as well as for aesthetic pleasure.
In the previous installments, I focused more on training myself to draw, but without a system. Now that I am working on a book, I have a frame for which I can work on drawing, as well as using smaller grid squares in order to develop my skills. Most importantly, however, I use drawing while reading as a way to remain focused and anchor certain etxracts inside my head.
Here’s a set of spheres that I sketched yesterday inside my Bullet Journal:
Beginning with shapes always helps, particularly since I want to draw castles. Furthermore, the smaller squares help me to focus on smaller details at a time.
