Characters like Sephiroth wreak havoc on smash when they first join, doing things like kiling Mario in their reveal trailers. The reason they dont keep fucking shit up is because Kirby keeps them in line. Other examples would be Ridely, Gannon, Master and Crazy Hand, Dracula, Wario, and any other ‘evil’ character. The only exception is Bowser, who never really did anything bad enough to warrant Kirby’s intervention.
I don’t know that the Hands would be considered evil but otherwise I strongly agree.

Kirby does not need to inhale someone to gain their powers. He simply has access to every power there is, see by his simultaneous use of the rock, hammer, and sword copy abilities. He only gets the hat form inhaling people, and to him it feels wrong to use an ability without a matching hat. He made an exception for smash on the condition that a ‘smash’ copy ability would eventually be added to a Kirby game.
I like to imagine that Kirby dons his Smash ability when fighting in Smash, and he just chose to bring it with him to his own universe. But otherwise very good.
Master Hand was planning to invite a TF2 character to be a fighter, and showed everyone the ‘Expiration Date, video to see what they thought. About 3 minutes in the Assist Trophies all lost thier minds and it took an hour to calm them all down. TF2 has not been brought up since and all of the fighters are still baffled as to what happened.
Crazy Hand was giggling uncontrollably off to the side and refused to explain why.
Kirby is a convenient stress reliever for Luigi's anxiety. If he's getting overwhelmed and on the verge of a panic attack, someone can hand him the Kirby and he'll call down within a few minutes. Kirby likes to patshim on the shoulder when this happens.
