look, i love tv!Ben, but i’m ALWAYS gonna love book!Ben just a TINY BIT more because he’s just... softer? I dunno how to describe it. Also then this poor boy wouLDN’T BE GETTING ABUSED ugh, tv show, why.

But yeah, book!Monty isn’t nearly as fleshed out/important, and he’s mainly unimposing and weak-minded. the Uncles basically switched places.

I just recently saw the show and totally became obsessed with Rosvolio. I was wondering if there is a morning after fic when they run away and they wake up in each others arms on those rocks or something like that. I would love to read it.

There very well might be, but I haven’t seen it myself.

But my personal recommendation is you read the book. Since that scene definitely exists there.

The show is done and I'm crying. You wrote the Taco Bell fic and I loved it. I also cried. Thank you for the beautiful experience of being in this fandom. We deserved better and longer but it's whatevs

Concerning the general modern au, if you want to go along with the most recent episode, having Rosaline's profession being something related to law (whether being a lawyer or paralegal or something like that) could work. Also, I'm looking forward to your LAWKI AU. That will be fun. ~wistfulmemory

Yeah and @gentlesleaze ‘s post about Ros as a DA really struck a chord with me. For the most part tho, Ros’ job has always changed in my fics depending on what I needed. 

But I feel for like... all my modern au general headcanons, Rosaline is a lawyer, honestly. (Like how Benvolio is a architect, Livia is a nurse, Isabella is some sort of politician, Stella is in some sort of counseling field, and Escalus gets into social service. )

i have been searching for DAYS for this one wip rosvolio fic and its killingggg me. its like ros is in the square and ben comes from out of town and hes lost and he bumps into ros and she gives him directions and they dont know last names aand the nurse grabs ros and is like 'hes a montAGUEEEEEEE!!!!!1!!!!!111!!!!!!!!!' its pretty much they met (happily) before the betrothal and i think they talk about a fountain. do you have any idea what im talking about? if so P L E A S E help me. thank you!

i feel like it wasn’t a ssc fic, but actually just a r&j one? but i could be wrong. i also read a shit ton of r&j published fic in the week after the first ep so everything blurs together.

i looked through my ao3 history and couldn’t find it, unless it’s part of a larger drabble collection? you said wip so that may it. but also i noticed a couple of deleted works in the list, so maybe that’s it?

if anyone has an idea (or maybe you wrote it!!) please let me and this anon know! it was a good fic too, inspired me to want to write a friends to lovers au of my own (which is why i think it was actually a romeo&juliet fic and a not a ssc one, but i could be completely wrong.)

What do you think would happen if Stella did agree to run away with Ben?

Honestly... I think Ros would have shown up and changed her mind (like in the show), but instead of just heading straight back, she would have had to tell Ben/Stella the change in plans. And that probably would have been enough for either one of Stella or Ben to be like... this is won’t work.

(If, for whatever reason, they really did run away and started a new life without getting caught - they’d be happy, because they ARE friends, but I don’t think either would ever fall truly in love... bc they’re best friends and maybe they sleep together or whatever, and they love each other but it’s like... platonic sex. Except they’re attracted to each other.)

do you think we are going to see the Montague women ?

So we’re seeing Tessa Montague (a new char for the show) in the next episode, who is supposed to be Uncle Monty’s sister (and therefore Benvolio’s dad’s sister and Ben’s aunt). She’s also in ep5 if I remember correctly.

Wouldn’t be surprised if she showed up after that as well.
