Who saw the @sjdooley documentary on Monday night on the dirty side of fashion? Wow it was hard hitting and showed us the true cost of cheap fashion on our planet and the environment. It’s really made me think about how much I buy and what I buy. A lot of the high street brands have a sustainability plan so hopefully things are changing, but for now there are many wonderful brands that are committed to producing ethical and sustainable clothing. We know you lied about the entire encounter, we’ve sat with the family who you claimed to have known / spent time with. They didn’t know you & said they nor the boy had ever interacted with you before you snapped that photo with the caption reading “Obsessesssssssed 💔” which you still have refused to take down. . The little boy, we will call M, nor his family were recipients of @comicrelief ‘s charity or any help from Ms. Dooley. That is also a lie she is maintaining. The family is extremely poor, she visited, snapped a photo, waved some consent forms in their face and left. That’s it. She had no relationship, she didn’t know their names, this little boy absolutely did not want to be held by her (is forced physical contact an ethical norm in journalism?) . The fact that we followed up, have spoken in depth with the family and Stacey Dooley still maintains she would have done all of this the same way if given the chance? This is really troubling... . COMMENTS THAT ARE COUNTERPRODUCTIVE: calling names, trashing her / her character, using abusive / violent language. NONE of that helps at all and we need to see that stop in our space. If you don’t respect this, we will block you.
