I recently bought a Surface Pro 4, and with it Staffpad. I decided to check it out and ended up writing this little piece. I’m probably breaking a lot of rules, but I don’t really have to much knowledge about writing classical

So I made an arrangement of the Amazing Digital Circus theme... or two... I like the second one better.

If you're curious, the stems came straight from my notations software (StaffPad), all instruments are from the Berlin Orchestra vst packs, the choir is the free Muse Choir from StaffPad as well.

All mixed in REAPER my DAW of choice.

Surface Pro 4

After a week with the Surface Pro 4, here’s the good and bad.

The Bad

The cost – I bought the 128GB / Intel Core m3 – 4GB RAM for $1,340.00 AUD. Then they slugged me another $200.00 for the keyboard. Which isn’t great. The keyboard bounces a bit when typing, as it does not sit flat. It’s also a bit noisy to type on. But it does dock well and folds up nicely with the Pro 4. I don’t like the back…
