My favorite author, Anne Rice, was inspired by her husband, Stan Rice, to create the iconic vampire character Lestat De Lioncourt.

Anne even gave him the same birthday. 🤣 making them both Scorpios ♏🦂- this zodiac water sign is generally known for their dark, mysterious, sexy, and intense energy.

There is a date on the photo which says it was taken in June of 1962.

The original photo is old and super blurry.

So I tried to edit it and make it more clear.

But I'm not a professional photo editor so this is the best I could do! 😅

It also reminds me of this photo of Lestat.

I actually can see a resemblance between them. They do look similar as far as their aesthetic. 😂

Happy birthday Stan Rice and Lestat!

Happy birthday to Stan Rice and Lestat! 🎉 I celebrate it by editing an old photo of Stan as a handsome young man. The photo was originally in black and white. But I tried to color it. I'm not a professional editor but I really tried. 🤣

The little girl in the photo with him was his daughter Michele who later died of leukemia at the age of 5.

This tragedy devastated Anne into a deep depression, which she dealt with through writing out her pain into a horror story that became the book, "Interview with the Vampire."

It was marketed as a gothic vampire novel but it is essentially about a parent being deeply depressed over the death of their child.

Anne publicly admit that she based Louis on her self, Lestat on her husband, and what I always found interesting is Anne insisted that Claudia was NOT based on her daughter, Michele.

I respect Stan Rice for being a strong man to publicly disagree with his wife Anne - because he felt it was important to say that Claudia IS based on their daughter.

Stan knew that to deny the truth would be an insult to their daughter's memory.

Contrary to what many modern IWTV fans believe now, that the story is about Lestat, but actually this story would have never been brought to life at all if it was not for the death of Anne Rice's daughter.

I believe this is why Stan made a point to say it because he knew that Claudia is the TRUE heart of his wife's book.🖤

I love how Lestat was Anne's favorite but Stan's favorite was Claudia. 🤭
