Stan doesn’t know if it’s entirely appropriate to pet a giant salamander, but he thinks it’s worth giving it a try. They started the contact, anyway. He puts his hand on top of the Axolotl’s head. It’s surprisingly not slimy like he was fearing. Smooth, and cool, almost jelly like in the consistency, but not necessarily slimy. Soft. “You’re a delight too,” he says, and the Axolotl hums pleasantly.  It’s nice.
