Ya'll watched Martyrs? Wild movie.

So, a basic summary of the events that just unfolded here. There's been a long-standing 'ritual' where a multi-sided shape is 'rounded' into a circle. The idea is, the experience is supposed to elevate their consciousness to the point where they can see "god" - or in this world, the "Great Circle".

The Triangles here only saw the ritual (Which is technically "illegal") as a method of torture- basically a 'party game' under the thin guise of 'religious freedom'. Except this time - the ritual *does* work and RTW!Clifford DOES see "god" - or at least, sees something he isn't supposed to. And yes, he DID get to peek at TW!Clifford - which explains his dialogue a bit.

i finished the audiobook in 4 days, saw the movie the day after, and have dragged everyone else i know into the Project Hail Mary pit by their ankles. so, y'know, i feel TOTALLY NORMAL ABOUT THEM!!!!
