Oh, hmm. There's the 911 set up for the this fic and the way it was written.

The first is the appearance last September of Buck's fuckboy curls. @liminalmemories21 and I both had... thoughts about them. Figured that Tommy would too. We were talking about how Tommy's down for a fuck boy -- Abby was never comfortable because she would have been taking advantage, knew that she was using him as an escape -- but Tommy? The age gap matters less the older you get.

And Tommy's down bad for every version of him.

So, we were chatting about that, back and forth... while we both sat on our couches, watching British Bake Off? Which we realized when the... ahem, pornier bits started making an appearance and there were some definitely moments of cognitive dissonance. We wrote the first one basically in one sitting while we were watching Bake Off with our partners? That's a thing other people do, right?

Lim commented the next morning that: I like that this went from like 500 words of chat porn to 1300 words of ficlet

and then I said: weirdly this makes me want to do bake off inspired triptych (not about baking but like, a signature, technical, showstopper)

So yea, we wrote that first one in 12 hours and we were asleep for 8 of them.

I think my favorite not-as-porny contribution was the Tiffany joke, which started like this:

"baby, baby, you gotta be quiet," and buck swats his hand away, and moans louder then bites down hard on Tommy's trapezius. "there's no one around." and Tommy immediately starts humming something and clearly can't get it out his head and Buck finds himself being fucked to the beat of I think we're alone now, but he doesn't know that until later.

And then we decided to actually do the Bake Off inspired thing, and it sorta got some plot? If you squint sideways?

Tanya was making Christmas cookies, and no, it wasn’t weird.

It wasn’t weird if you didn’t think about it too hard. The Inn had plenty of sugar and flour and butter and stuff. Someone had to use it. And it wasn’t like Tanya had any real money to get people stuff for Christmas, and there were some people she should probably get stuff for, so... here she was.

Bones was on break, and Tanya really thought she would have the run of the kitchen. She remembered how to do it, after all. She didn’t need help. But when she walked in, there was that weird guy from Halloween.

“Hey,” Tanya said over her shoulder, reaching into the pantry for the supplies she needed. Hopefully he wouldn’t ask questions.

I made chocolate mouse pie because I had egg whites and a brand new pie plate plus needed to uphold my new found reputation as star baker 🌟 and then obvi had to get fancy and pipe the whipped cream on there.

Things learned: egg whites are stupid and are not worth it, turned out fine but not worth the fiddly. Cream cheese and whipped cream is simpler and better.

Piped whipped cream tho, 100% worth it. Super easy and makes me feel so ~fancy~ I will be piping whipped cream into all desserts from here on out
