The thought alone made her want to bury her face in a pillow and scream. There was something unfathomably surreal about the entire thing. Yesterday, she was struggling to make eye contact with him in the hallway, and now he was behind her bathroom door, singing faintly over the sound of running water.
Her fingers toyed with the edge of her blanket, nerves thrumming through her as her brain scrambled to find the logic in all this. Maybe this was just what he was like; confident, comfortable anywhere, treating fake girlfriends and real ones the same way.
She took another breath, shoulders sinking into her bedframe, trying to convince herself it wasn’t a big deal. Just Chan being Chan. Just a guy washing off some mud before studying. Nothing weird about that.
