Watching Stargate in the wrong order is actually really funny because- now that I’m going way back to watch SG-1, I noticed that they dial the DHD so…carefully.
Sometimes the chevrons get announced, sometimes they stand there panicking but still somehow manage to double check each symbol despite crazy shit happening all around them. Carefully careful dial!
(admittedly, it’s a wormhole, you might wanna be extra sure what you’re doing)
And yet-
I watched Stargate Atlantis first; which is where Rodney McKay runs screaming to the DHD with an arrow in his ass, wildly slapping his hands on those same buttons like he was calling his mom from school- and that just makes so much more sense to me.
