BACKSTORY: Kingsley was a SAS veteran, whom Sirius met while he worked at the Hog's Head as a bouncer. They got along very well, Sirius finally had someone who understood him and his experience better than anyone before. Kingsley had a shooting range and worked as a private military contractor. Sirius developed a crush on him and they hooked up a few times. Kingsley let Sirius practice shooting, sparred and worked out with him whenever his schedule allowed.

I was going to work this morning and I was obsessing over the idea of Kingsley as a widower with a small child. Kingsley is determined to keep his kid safe during OotP, and when a targeted attack on his house leads to a narrow escape, Kingsley brings his kiddo to Grimmauld Place to be safe. While Kingsley goes back to work, the kid is left with a miserable Sirius. They bond. Kingsley falls hard for Sirius. Yada yada yada.

Anyway, I thought this was very cute.

Oh my gosh wait this is so cute!!!!! Yes!!!! He's got a daughter who's, like, 7 and extremely precocious (and adorable). The attack happens that August, so Kingsley and small child arrive at Grimmauld when Harry and the others do. The kids think she's so cute, Moody spins his eye in the back of his head to make her laugh, Molly mothers her, Crookshanks adores her, but she GLUES herself to Sirius's side. Thinks he's the neatest thing ever. And Sirius is like wtf do I do with this small child, because his only experience with children is of Harry as a baby and a 14-year-old and that's it. And then when the kids go back to school and everyone else goes off to work/missions, Sirius and the small child bond. Buckbeak takes a shine to her and slowly Sirius melts (and then Kingsley falls for him the end).
