I answered 1 here and normally I’d just give you a new answer as well but I really struggled on that response. Maybe it’s because I’m not super read in the fandom anymore… I did always really hate Simon-as-a-jerk tropes. The ones where he’s especially cruel to Baz when he has yet to accept his feelings.

12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

I mean, you know I love rare pairs and humanizing bad characters. But I do think the people fandom hates are pretty accurate. I’m happy to go down a hate spiral on the CO-verse villains, even if I’ll also write a fic where we learn to love them. Maybe this isn’t an “unpopular” character but: Pippa! 1) the girl had a crush on Simon so she’s got great taste 2) she helps save the day during awtwb and 3) she’s clearly afraid of Baz but she doesn’t back down. I am #teampippa all the way; I love adding her to fics and giving her a whole ass personality.

8. common fandom opinion that everyone is wrong about

There’s a lot of speculation about Simon and Agatha and their first time being traumatic and my closely held belief is that it was sweet if not altogether boring. I think Simon would have treated it like a mission and Agatha would have felt really cared for and no they weren’t good for each other but there was real love there, even if there wasn’t passion. Just my two cents. Whenever someone clearly disagrees with me I just go, “okay,” and scroll past. 😘
