I honestly can't decide between them all which is my FAVORITE FAVORITE, but this one is pretty high up because I love how it perfectly encapsulates and shows the relationship between Natsuki and her dad, to us, the viewer.

Without this poem we would know a lot less about how Natsuki feels about her dad, I feel

She really did just want people to take her struggles seriously. As much as Nicole opposes "revenge suicide"— as her dad did in the intro— she partly commits because of a kind of revenge. Wanting people to see how fucking horrible her struggles were, how much shit she genuinely went through in her past & present.

And like, that's not REVENGE REVENGE, but she wants people to see she's not some stupid dramatic GIRL for doing that. She was always dismissed for her joking or uncaring or mean attitude, never really taken seriously by staff, or family.

The closest she got to people seeing her struggles was her friends, and even then they never fully saw the shit she did.

As much as I gigglebugged over the amazing jokes in co09 it had amazing themes too
