I feel it’s time to finally tell the XCOM tale of Marvin “Starwipe” McStarwub, my favorite soldier and local cool dude.

So, at the beginning of my campaign, I got Starwipe, then a lowly recuit and wimpy nerd. But as time went on, he became more and more skilled and generally awesome after I began focusing on him. He has turned out to be my team’s primary sniper, and almost never misses his shot. These are some of his stories.

I upgraded Starwipe to be balanced between sniping and gunslinging, so he’s more than proficient in both; there wad once a time in which he was cornered by an ADVENT Officer and a Sectoid on just his third mission taking out a blacksite, and managed to take both of them out in one turn on his lonesome.

Later that mission, while two of my other squadmates ran to EVAC, Starwipe stayed behind to rescue his unconsious rookie squadmate on her first mission, fighting his way to the dropship with only a revolver and a grenade unscathed.

No mission has gone by in which he (under my command, of course) has not managed to survive, or let any of his friends to the same, be it by providing invaluable cover fire, headshoting tricky aliens trying to flank, or streight up taking out entire ADVENT squads before they even know what hit ‘em. Starwipe never fails to impress.

His most recent escapade was against a giant robot with more health than all 6 of my squad members combined, at full health, out of nowhere. The thing was hitting squaddies left and right, even knocking a few unconsious or bleeding, until Starwipe casually walked up, took aim, and one-shotted it, which had a 3% chance of happening. He instantly got promoted because he’s just the best dude.

And he’ll probably never die because the game’s on my SSD and I savescum like no other. [F6][F7][F6][F7][F6][F7][F6][F7]
