Fairly successful attempt to knit from the stash this summer. Until now. Saw a lovely Lang yarn on sale and resisted buying until I saw a call for a test knit for a glorious cabled blanket. Signed up for the test, ordered the yarn and really excited to cast on soon.
At the same time, bought a bunch of sock yarn and pretty fingering yarn for a sweater: free shipping and...stash building.
As twitter is truly diminishing now and I’ve suddenly got a bunch of free time, I decided to really get crazy about my hobbies and bought a late quilter’s stash. There’s about 400 lbs of fabric here. Dogs for scale.
Where am I going to put it? Uh.
I spent the entire week’s food budget on fabric and lived on vienna sausage sandwiches and store brand jell-o for a few days. Tomorrow is pay day...

Sales have been pretty resistable until today. What's with the wool clearance at yarnspirations.com?
Maybe the color "moonrock" is on sale because it's pretty hard to figure out what it is? I'll know soon - hope it compliments the sesame color!
Went out today and bought the rest of the yarn I need to finish up my Scrappy Spread, which is only half scrappy now. I was trying to use up my stash by making this blanket - the sunny spread - but it has 64 squares, and I just did not have 64 different colors in my stash. And, of course, I couldn't repeat colors, that's just crazy talk. No, I had to have 64 different colors in this thing.
So I went out to the AC Moore and the Michael's in Hickory this morning and bought the last colors that I needed to finish. When I was buying all this yarn, I made sure to pick colors that could go with other colors I was using, so that I could use them for more than one project.
So my stash-busting blanket ended up being a stash-building blanket.
Crochet problems, yo.
