Civil Oetran, or just Civ, is a self-made otter and proud engineer. A small town boy, Civ hails from a small desert town where he's classified as a 'desert rate', even despite him being an otter and now living in the forest. Starting from almost nothing, Civ pulled himself through school and landed himself in a comfy position to ride out his years with.

Civ grew up in a very small desert town near a lake, coming with all the charms of being in the middle-of-nowhere, with the extra perks of living with 120F degree summers, constant tourism to the lake, and living in an irreparably poor, sometimes-homeless family. Going through high school, he was a quiet and motivated student, focusing on grades over anything else. He graduated a salutatorian, with only a single B grade in his entire grade report, all else being As.

For a short while, he lived in a more religious, hunting community in Utah, he had grown up very religious previously, but living in mormon country only deepened his god-fearing nature. It also taught him a lot about firearms, hunting, and respect for nature, starting some of his early environmental-leanings. He moved back to the desert small town after a few years where he began high school.

While in high school, Civ was interested in journalism, and considered himself a photographer. However, his advisor in school warned him of the fact that he was becoming a little too much like Chase Hunter, and he changed his path to environmental engineering, as math was one of his better subjects.

Getting to college in a forested city, Civ remained as focused on schooling, but began his deconstruction of his childhood principles. Realizing life had more to offer, he broke off with religion and opened himself more to the LQBTQ community, eventually realizing he was bisexual, and that some of his early-life homophobia was clearly religious repression of himself. He found himself at home in the furry community (<-above board info about real Civ), and found that the parties and alcohol he had avoided through school were great times to be enjoyed.

Graduating college, he was lucky to land a job in the same city, and now he loves his work every day. Now he's just riding out life, taking each day as easy as he can and continuing his qualifications in his job, now officially on the path towards Civil Engineering licensure, and playing with Blender and 3D modelling all the time.

If there's one thing to understand about Civ, is that he's changed a lot. Talking to Civ at 16, you'd've gotten a religious, shut-in, somewhat homophobic, focused-entirely-on-schooling, nerdy kid with little experience in anything outside of books to his life. But now, at the ripe age of 26, this Civ makes furry art, goes to cons, and is gladly gay/bisexual with a boyfriend. 16 y/o Civ might even be disgusted with 26 y/o Civ, but that only makes current Civ cackle at how far he's grown since then.

Although she assumes the form of a youthful girl, she has a considerable affinity with water and lightning magic… often blending the two together.
