“But if the state goes away overnight people will die!”
And when the state continues to exist it comes closer and closer to the day it will eventually collapse on its own and the longer it persists the more people are born and that means your grandchildren will suffer in a collapse maximally worse than our own suffering if it fell today as they will live in a world of increased scarcity as the state constantly wastes away resources they have pilfered from private owners and the population will increase more and more as time goes on, more people, less resources, mass death is the inevitable result. If the state fell fifty years ago it would have been easier and simpler with less deaths and a quicker rebuild. Life’s only goal is to consume resources to sustain itself until it is eventually consumed itself either through other life or entropy, sustainability can only exist with individuals running their own lives, a sustainable state is an oxymoron. The environment will increasingly decay until the states of the world collapse. Ending the state system now will result in deaths than ending it ten, twenty, thirty, or one hundred years from now. We are selfish to prize our short term comfort at the expense of our children’s future. Just as the Silenters, and GI Generationers sold out our generations for their comfort during the Depression.
