Commission - 2mm scale replica of East Budleigh Station area buildings: What happens before and after I get the paint brushes out... absolutely love doing brick work detailing! I started off with a white base coat of watered down acrylic and added in patches of browns and oranges. I then blended them to give an overall colouring before picking out bricks and weathering further... I'm not finished yet either! Commission - 2mm scale replica of East Budleigh Station area buildings: A little update before my work on these on the weekend... I've got quite far and I'm neatly ready to prime. I've applied the roof tiles and nearly completed the brickwork on the main station building (some edges to deal with) and I've added the little legs to the grain store. Commission - 2mm scale replica of East Budleigh Station area buildings: Working hard to get the brickwork right on the station building, spending time picking out individual bricks and tiles 👍 also I've begun the bridge that has also been commissioned and its been a challenge because of the angles of the walls. I had to use a combination of Google Maps and my own head to work out those angles but we got there. Commission - 2mm scale replica of East Budleigh Station area buildings: Corrugated iron in n gauge... I thought I'd share with you the tool I've just ended up creating to make miniature corrugated sheeting... in the past I've used two coke bottle lids rolled together to imprint the corrugated pattern but now I am working at such a small scale that I needed to build something to help do the job. I found two identical valves and glued two tubes of plastic to a sheet of plasticard, I've then placed the valves close together on top which has given me a textured roller system 👍 P.s I wanted to go to Makers Central this weekend but unfortunately teaching on the side has taken over...
