Ep. 168 How to create a simple system
11th day of productivity: sorry for not updating as often as i should. Things are going quite well until i got exhausted out of working too hard and for 2 last days i am always in the half sleep- half awake state. It’s still okay, i still keep doing work and keeping good pace with tasks. I will try to take care of my health in a better way. For the upcoming 2 weeks are exam weeks so i don’t think it can improve much, but i hope afterwards some relax time can help me a bit.
A great achievement over the last week was that i won over my fear and hatred towards doing stuff that i don’t want to but i have to. I did it when it was supposed to be done, and alothough i was shaking real hard, maximum anxiety, i broke things down to smaller tasks, did things step by step, and finally, successfully completed it on time! A BIG STEP FOR ME.
Sometimes not being too productive is okay, as long as we get the job done, and the work done.

27.06.20 Day 1/10 of getting my shit together
hello,
Today was definitely not a super-duper productive day but some thing i did that were great:
1. edit my study mindset.
backstory time: i had big national level finals last year called boards. And i dropped everything to study for them. literally everything. and it was appreciated and encouraged by my family/peers. So when exams ended and i had a break before the next year began, i let go of studying and spent all the time on tv/my phone. That wasn’t bad or harmful since i was on break but my brain turned studying into an all or nothing mindset. so for all of next year, i couldn’t bring myself to study little by little everyday or at all, and in the end i ended dropping my percentage by 20%.
So, today I spent a lot of time introspecting, reading studyblr posts and kind of convincing my brain. And it did help. I feel much, much, much better about studying and this feels like a good start to getting out of the toxic mindset.
2. use the pomodoro technique.
damn. for some reason I always just thought this technique wouldn’t work for me? Again, toxic mindset because I thought if I took breaks, I wasn’t actually studying so i ended up not studying at all. So, I added the tide chrome extension, and just started working today and wow! I am genuinely so surprised and feel so happy.
Love, rain
