BREAKING NEWS SIOBHAN CHARK JUST FELL ONTO THE PIES AND REPLACED CHET TAKAHASHI
(which also now means that steals and siobhan chark are on the same team)
ORTIZ LOPEZ vs. STEALS CHARK
Ortiz Lopez
Steals Chark
ORTIZ LOPEZ: Georgias player from Season β16 to Season β24. Joined the team after a baffling trade for Mint Shupe. Despite starting her career in San Francisco, Ortiz would go on to become a beloved Georgias player, arguably more-so than a handful of the team's OGs. Probably helped that she was one of our better hitters in late Expansion, with some incredible Moxie.
STEALS CHARK: Georgias player from Season β12 to Season β24, first active in Season β23. Arguably most notable for being "the other Chark," but Siobhan was a pretty beloved player, so that adjacency isn't a bad thing. Was the worst pitcher on the Georgias during her career here, but turned it around in the Coronation Era to become the star pitcher for the Pies.
first proof
[Blaseball, Gen, 2.2k words]
She hits the ground hard enough to hurt, and immediately has no idea where she is or how she got there.
After a beat, she realizes she also has no idea who she is.
With that disturbing thought sinking into a pit in her stomach, she pushes herself up into a sitting position and looks up, rubbing her aching head. She's in an empty room, pretty big, with benches running down the center and rows of lockers lining the walls.
She puts a hand on a bench (and, oof, a few inches to the left and she'd have hit her head on that. Ouch.) and leverages herself all the way to her feet. Okay. Something about the place feels familiar; at least, she recognizes it as a locker room. She thinks she's been in locker rooms before. But not this one. At least, she's pretty sure.
Wandering closer to inspect the lockers, she notices something strange: they all have placards on the front, that seem like they may have once had names on them, but the markings seem like they've been… erased, somehow. Weird. Letting her fingertips run along the wall, she wanders down the row of lockers. It's all more of the same, until she gets to the end and finds one that's different.
The last locker in the row has a placard with a name engraved in it in all capital letters: STEALS CHARK.

The door to Bevan's sanctuary slams open.
"BEVAN!" Steals screeches, her chest heaving with exertion. "What did you DO?!"
Bevan, floating cross-legged in the middle of the room, opens one eye. "Many things, Miss Chark," he says. "I have had a long and storied career as both a practitioner of the arcane arts and a player of blaseball. I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific."
"What did you put in the basement?!" Steals demands, waving her arms emphatically. Her heart, which has been racing ever since her close encounter, starts to slow down as she takes a couple deep breaths.
Bevan opens his other eye and cocks his head. "I didn't put anything in the basement," he says, then taps a finger against his chin thoughtfully. "At least, not to my knowledge."
"What do you mean you didn't?" Steals asks, her eyes going wide. "If you didn't put it there, then what's in the basement?"
"I don't know!" Bevan says. Disturbingly, he doesn't sound at all concerned; rather, he sounds positively gleeful. He stands up from his meditation and descends to stand properly on the ground, his cape settling around him with a swirl. "Let's go and find out."

NIQ NYONG'O vs. STEALS CHARK
Niq Nyong'o
Steals Chark
NIQ NYONG'O: Georgias player from Season β12 to Season β20. Was a respectable lead-off hitter during her career on the Georgias. Despite missing four and a half seasons and being a more middling player, she's arguably the most important player in Georgias lore, being the team captain, reality anchor, and head of research during her time here. Died, but she got better. This led to her having a Debt that led to the redactions of a ghost and Mike Townsend, among others, but she got better.
STEALS CHARK vs. JUSTIN ALSTOTT
Steals Chark
Justin Alstott
STEALS CHARK: Georgias player from Season β12 to Season β24, first active in Season β23. Arguably most notable for being "the other Chark," but Siobhan was a pretty beloved player, so that adjacency isn't a bad thing. Was the worst pitcher on the Georgias during her career here, but turned it around in the Coronation Era to become the star pitcher for the Pies.
JUSTIN ALSTOTT: Speaking of the worst pitcher on the Georgias, right now it's Justin. Current member of the Georgias rotation. Justin is known for hir innovative pitching style on the current Georgias' rotation, asking the bold question "What if Georgias pitching... was bad?" Ze sometimes pulls through some good games, but did choke pretty hard against the Magic in the Season 2 playoffs. Sorry that the most notable things I have to say about this guy aren't very nice.
