There is a longstanding habit of avoidance between the Weaver class and the Reclusive Steerean race. Why? Good question.

Weavers are the most powerful illusion-based class on Steere. Reclusive Steereans usually stay in the oldwood forest biome due to the sensitivity of their skin to unimpaired light. The technology on Steere is all based on solar power, which means that Reclusive Steereans can’t access it as much.

But Weavers? Their illusion-based powers hold the capability of mimicking sunlight.

It’s not unheard of for Reclusive Steereans to capture Weavers and exploit them past exhaustion (until death) for access to working technology. Definitely not unheard of, and just a little more common than uncommon.

So... yeah, Weavers tend to stay out of oldwood forests.

World-Building Progress!

We’re still working on Steere and its geographical development, and I’m outlining what the rest of this week is going to look like. Hopefully I’ll be able to add a few new biomes to the planet, but other than that...

I’m going to spend the whole week talking about trees.

And I mean, just trees. Different species, where they’re found, how they grow, what they do... I have 1/5 species generally developed right now, but with new biomes comes new species.

You guys had better appreciate all the tree work that’s going into Steere or I just might cry.
