Some really interesting theories and what ifs about the Stellaron on Amphoreus
Lately, I’ve been discussing Amphoreus theories with a Joy, and we came up with a pretty wild idea.
First, let’s set the stage. Back in version 3.6, the Scepter files received an update where it was revealed that Lygus used Stellaron contamination to prevent others from interfering with Amphoreus. That’s quite a big proof that Stellaron exists on Amphoreus, something Dan Heng and the Trailblazer had already suspected. The real questions are, where is this Stellaron, and what wish did it grant?
On every other planet, the root of the crisis has always been the Stellaron and the wish tied to it. Stellaron function like falling stars that grant wishes, but instead of stopping afterward, they keep expanding endlessly, like a cancer. For example, on Lushaka, one inhabitant wished to raise levels water. The Stellaron responded, and the water has continued to rise uncontrollably to this day.
Now, there are some hints that Phainon might not actually be native to Amphoreus. According to the Golden Scapegoat mutterings, he is the lamb that rode the waves and came to the world, where he lost his memories and began considering it his home. He also has a notable connection to the Demiurge but that’s a topic for another time.
Phainon’s is heavily connected to the act of carrying the wishes of others and trying to fulfill them.
I think you know where are I am going with this.
So here’s the idea, what if the Stellaron answered someone’s wish, and that’s how Phainon ended up on Amphoreus?
The big question is, in what way? Did the Stellaron literally become Phainon? Was it used to save him, resurrect him, or maybe summon him into this world? We don't really know and every option could work really well with current plot and it's themes.
Phainon heavily parallels the Trailblazer, so linking him to the Stellaron feels like a natural conclusion. This would also mirror the Astral Express journey, which repeatedly highlights the cruelty of outsiders being dragged into unknown worlds to help save them.
Interestingly, Phainon also shares similarities with the Abyss Sibling from Genshin Impact. If the theory about him arriving from beyond Amphoreus is true, then just like the Sibling, he entered an unknown world, forgot his past, and grew to see it as home. Adding the Stellaron to the equation makes the parallel even stronger, a world wishing for a savior, and the Stellaron summoning Phainon in response.
So, who made the wish? There are a few possibilities:
Scepter
Irontomb
Lygus
Cyrene
Amphoreus itself (either its people, or the world as a whole)
Hoyoverse clearly drew inspiration from the Fate series. You can see it with Mydei his design is inspired by Archer Gilgamesh, while his personality resembles Caster Gilgamesh more. If Mydei echoes Gilgamesh, then Phainon shares some traits with Enkidu. In Fate/Grand Order, there’s a character named Kingu, created by using a wish granting artifact to reanimate Enkidu’s corpse. The villain did this to get help from Kingu to awaken her, much like how Phainon seems tied to awakening Irontomb. If that’s true, then perhaps Scepter or Lygus wished for him. Another option is that Irontomb itself wished for a head, which manifested as Phainon.
Still, I doubt Scepter or Irontomb had the consciousness to make such a wish at that time. On the other hand, Lygus clearly understands what Stellarons are and how to use them, so it’s possible he used one to fuel Irontomb growth.
Then there’s Cyrene. Our first impression of her is her wish that the world would never need a Deliverer. That could be clever foreshadowing. She is the writer and outsider to the Phainon’s hero. It’s possible she made a wish to the Stellaron that backfired catastrophically.
But the most logical explanation might be Amphoreus itself. In 3.4, Cyrene says they set out to answer the world’s desire, and that Amphoreus wishes are cruel.
And Stellaron wishes cannot be stopped. So what happens if the world itself wished for a hero? Would that mean the world is now doomed to always need one, forcing that hero to constantly act, in never ending cycle? That would be a truly cruel wish of the world.
Ive been wondering what the fuck the Stellaron Hunters deal with the Stellarons are. And why the Trailblazer got stuck with one. While I cant exactly figure out the latter one.. The Stellarons apparently being born of The Harmony makes it make sense. Cause the Harmony is one of the Fourth Finalities, so therefore the Anti-Finality group would obviously want to round those fuckers up. Its seemingly implied that the Stellaron Hunters and Astral Express are also the only ones that can actually handle them too. Cause Firefly did smth with the Stellaron in 3.8 and it didnt get brought back up, Himeko & Welt and the Trailblaze Trio have been handling those things since the Station. Meanwhile, nobody else really seems able to deal with Stellarons..? Cause like, every other time theres a Stellaron Diasaster.. its not stopped. The only time they're stopped is by the Astral Express sealing it.. or the Stellaron Hunters stealing it.
I mean Herta had one, but also. She's Herta. So she can probably figure out how to keep one contained. Also its not unlikely it was given to her BY Himeko, tbh.
Curious that the Finality and Trailblaze factions are the ones that can handle them...
Also im curious wtf the Stellarons the Hunters took are going?? Like sure, its partially a front to fight the Finality, but. They're still fucking taking the damn things. its not like they've shoved every stolen Stellaron into the Trailblazer. ... oh my god what if they did though, cause the Stellaron themself doesnt- NOPE IM NOT GOING DOWN THIS RABBIT HOLE RN- but also they're referred to as a receptacle and they have trashcan bs and its not like trashcans are a one time use thing, and the TB DOES get involved with every Stellaron thus far- NO IM NOT DOING THIS RN Im losing my mind..
I'm thinking about how the IPC and the Stellarons are similar things. Both show up when your world is in trouble, offering salvation for a price that will fuck your world up in a whole new way (that people might not even notice except through the lens of history).
Actualy, can the TB stelleron brainwash people like the belabog stelleron did??? Also, why was the belabog stelleron especificaly was.... Sentient and mind controlling???? Are all stellaron's sentient? Is the TB(not in the alien au) stellaron sentient too??? Do all the stellaron's count as siblings??? Was the brainwashing hormonal fuckery? Are the stellaron's love children of Nanook, Xipe and Akivilli???

Ooooh, I waited for this question>:)
Stellaron, in AU and like in the canon setting, is something akin to a wishing star.
For example: It can speak only if a person wishes to hear it speak— and everyone get the consequences of this wish of couse.
The amount of wishes is actually endless, if I'm correct? I mean the whole catastrophe that happened on Javiro-VI is because of many, many leaders actually wishing things near it or directly to it.
Moving on to TB. They're unique, as any main character should be, but while in canon their stellaron is treated more like a heart disease or something that can be held over their head for some reason (Aventurine is suicidal like that.) I wanted to give it my own spin.
Stelle/Caleus were never people, they were dolls from the very beginning. They have no attachment to Kafka, they never learned anything about the world until March and Dan Heng met them. They're completely plank page with one, single thing that they can't yet comprehend.
But the stellaron? It's their heart, brain and soul. Stellaron, as in TB is actually the bearer of one wish— and that's where I cut. Because they don't know. They're unable to comprehend what it was that made them sentient.
Mostly because the TB lore is getting more interesting in Planarcardia. But also because it might do something with Aha's yearning and I'm waiting for canon confirmation for one theory "is TB part of Akivili, Akivili THEMSELVES, or nah".
Stellaron's aren't really siblings? But they're definitely good at recognizing each other. I'd say it gives more of a "went to a different country and I heard someone yell swearword in my mother language" type of recognition.
Brainwashing is actually a wish from a person. Stellarons doesn't trick aliens, they make wishes come true. If one agrees, then dies without catastrophic events, it will want to get another host because the wish wasn't complete and no one told it to stop.
Again, stellaron in AU is corrosive, it makes the organic body rot. Cocolia were holding on because Belobog is extremely cold and bodies don't rot in those low temperatures. But on any other normal planet? By the time of the boss fight, she would be a good horror zombie.
Stellarons are definitely some hybrid children of Xipe. Nanook? THEY already have entirely of Lord Ravagers and Anti-matter Legion to mother, one more army wouldn't hurt.
Akivili?? Depends on if canon TB turns out to be a part of Akivili or Aha is just a delusional monarch.
I guess you could say they're children of divorced parents before they could even get married and horrible crowd pleasers.
Okay so if anyone only plays hi3 and starts part 2 and doesn't understand what the fuck is happening with all those HSR things and have questions, feel free to ask me anything and I will answer to the best of my capacity and try to point you towards other information sources if I can't answer. Just know it will pain me greatly. But I'm still very much willing to answer you
