We’re still utterly gutted that we had to miss STéLOUSE at Popscene in San Francisco recently. It’s hard to “stay loose” knowing you missed an epic show, and wasted a couple of much coveted tickets for it, too. But everything feels better for the moment as we sway to the euphonious opening bars and grandiose beginnings of the Denver producer’s latest single, Nobody Told Me.  STéLOUSE enlists LA artist David Davis on the track, who lays down some truly sonorous sailing, powerfully soaring vocals. Nobody Told Me further emphasizes STéLOUSE‘s multi-facted talent as he goes a more vocal-driven alt pop and progressive pop route on the anthemic lifting ballad. It’s been much vindicating watching some of our favorite producers expand their range lately on their new releases, and we’re excited for what this means for the future of electronica and pop. Denver production whiz StéLouse surprised us a couple months ago with a collaboration with Tilian Pearson of Dance Gavin Dance, and the pair turned out to be a perfect fit for each other on future bass/chill trap anthem Bones. Colombian born, Miami based producer Flapo has given the song his own twist, remixing it into a euphoria inducing aria with a beautifully affecting atmospheric makeup that really takes full advantage of Tilian’s silky melting vocals. Trap has never been more gorgeously ethereal than on Flapo’s mellifluously lathered re-work. You can download Flapo’s remix for free, here.

It’s an unexpected but very welcome surprise that Dance Gavin Dance’s Tilian Pearson has made a cameo as guest vocalist on the latest single from Denver’s STéLOUSE. Turns out, the post-hardcore band’s vocalist has the perfect voice for the producer’s anthemic new future bass and chill trap song. Just the right amount of emotive rawness and sentimental grit emanates from his smooth crooning while STéLOUSE charms us with plinking chimes, dashing keys, and ravishing beats on epic thrumming Bones. It’s a satin stirring, bluesy melting electronic affair from Denver as production auteur StéLouse enlists 19 year old singer songwriter Mascolo for his molten vocals on Shivers n Gold. The future soulful, gritty smoldering vibes on his fresh original seem appropriate follow ups to the producer’s exceptional remix of Bryce Fox’s Horns earlier this month. But the velveteen simmering electronica exuding ever so abundantly from Shivers n Gold is even more sleekly chill and molten chic. I find myself assaulted by ‘shivers’ aplenty by this ‘golden’ luscious jam, which comes with a captivating dance video which you can watch below.
