Triggered at work...
‘You need to “step up”’...
One of the last things my dad ever said to me was “You need to step-up to join the human race”...while I tried to keep that emotion from clouding the interaction with my boss, he is saying this to me not even a full half hour from when I almost broke down crying from all the last minute pressure of the day. I spent most of which busy with customers and unable to focus and think clearly on other processes that I was tasked, two of which I was unable to complete since I couldn’t figure it out and it was too busy for me to stop and ask and learn. So it got pushed onto the boss to do, and that sucks for him, but he’s been doing this for many decades and he has the capability to train better, request help from other trainers...there’s a training system in place that I’m being thrown through at max speed, no regard for the fact that I’m “studying” while being interrupted constantly by customers and other tasks. The skills reviews aren’t done, we just click, click, click ‘yes’ and sign our names...then it’s somehow a surprise that I’m not capable of reliably understanding and processing certain tasks. I’m told to step-up when it’s my training that needs to step the fuck up.
The DIODES AP72250 is targeted at step-up conversion in consumer and industrial applications where small form factors are a priority.
Year 2020 just happened. Just like that. Before it ended, we’ve been through a lot. Struggled. Out of school. Lost jobs and even a family member. Tried new things and even went out from our comfort zones.
Going out my comfort zone have been a huge step for me, just like everybody else. Let me share to you my story. . . One friend of mine once told me few years ago to do some print ads, he even said that there’s no harm in trying. I declined it. I don’t much have that confidence in me to do such things like that. All I know is I am only good at cooking (maybe? that’s what my mom says. lol). It feels like half of my life I’ve been working in the kitchen. Yes, I am a professional chef. Started working early and I’ve started working overseas at the age of 21. Did a lot of things on my own: decision making, solved many problems on my own, etc. In other words, became so independent at a very young age (not normal in Filipino culture). By the way, I am living in Finland for almost 4 years now.
Back to going out of my comfort zone. I just started to make my portfolio few months before the year 2020 ended. Until now, I still don’t know if this will bring me somewhere else. At least somehow I am now learning how to smile in front of the camera. LOL. I never expected that things would happen so fast. After posting new several fresh photos for my IG feed, without knowing, I am already starting to build my audience, connect with them, and get them involved to everything that I am posting. These kinds of things are all new to me. On the other hand, I am still feel thankful and blessed for them. I don’t get much serious engagements and deals yet with brands, for me that’s fine. As they say, soon, one day things will just happen in the most unexpected ways.
