Okay.....so....yeah....ehmm....anybody got a tissue or a few guys??? Currently on 1.05 of The Wheel of time...the part in which Stepin just cast Kirene's ring, weeping for her from the pain. All of that immediately after pushing Lan away for EVEN DARING to imagine that he may bond with any other Aes Sedai.....and then we get to see Lan walk straight to Moiraine...kneeling next to her with such sorrow...and not just that but also fear....mortifying creepling dreadfull fear of what it would be like to lose her. The way she understands and FEELS all of that (because of course she does and likely mirrors it all)....that shared look and silent exchange as he holds onto her and gently...cautiously....fearfully caresses her hand and covers it, including the ring. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not talking about any romantic subtext here (although i completely understand the people who would see it that way too:) but about that FORCE...that strenght and the intimacy of that bond that an Aes Sedai and her Warder share....it's something soo mesmarising and aweinspiring...that i'm not sure i can describe it all now and here. I've now replayed and rewatched that sequence 5 or 6 times and it's just made me bawl my eyes out and hold my breath EVERY time. And all of it is so captivating in it's complexity that i almost feel like i should out of respect avert my gaze and give them some privacy in such an intimate moment, that transceneds...friendship...romance....and becomes something that i can only think of as the ultimate form of love and care that one can have for another person. (also the visuals...the cinematography....the acting in this sequence.....im genuinely on the floor....) (excuse the spelling typos....there probably are many:)
