Seems like cross stitching is now a thing in my life

I am at my Mom's over Christmas. Since it is 1000 miles and 4 countries away, I'm only around about 2 times a year, mostly summer and Christmas.

Today I was idling the rooms and caught attention of the many embroidery pictures she's created over the decades.

I almost forgot how many there were and how much they trigger me. Reminding me of (in my memory) glorious childhood days.

Apart from the artwork and the colors, my middle-aged once C64 addicted computer geek brain admires them specifically for their brilliant depiction of 8 bit computer graphics...

Es beginnt zu blühen ...

Auch wenn Veilchen nicht das erste sind, was langsam wieder zu sprießen beginnt, so hat doch auch dieses kleine Miniwerk lang genug im Dunkeln vor sich hingebrütet - seit unserer Veilchenhochzeit im letzten Sommer, zu der ich mit diesem Anstecker begonnen habe.

Mit den ersten Frühlingssonnenstrahlen regen sich wie die ersten grünen Spitzen im Garten hoffentlich auch Kreativität und Motivation wieder. In diesem Sinne: Auf bald!

Das Shirt ist in den Semesterferien entstanden, als ich spontan Lust hatte etwas zu sticken. Es war aufwendig und ich habe ohne Vorwissen drauf los gearbeitet, aber mir gefällt das Ergebnis sehr gut.

Gave it to my friend @mizuirokandeya, she loves it 😇

I spent a lot of time doing Embroidery the last months ^^ it's really calming for me (especially while watching stuff or chilling in my art streams) :3

Here's my first Embroidery piece that I made 😊 I thought it would be cute to sew it on my backpack 🌻 and I really love the outcome ^^
