oof, it depends on who it is tbh. like i’m ngl, if it’s a stranger or someone who aspen doesn’t really care about, she is so bad at it, and that’s if she even tries at all. like she’s the type to awkwardly pat someone’s head while cringing tbh like skjdskjsd she doesn’t know wtf to do. but if it’s someone who aspen knows and cares about it’s a different story? because even though aspen is a Little Shit she cares about the people she actually gives a fuck about with her whole heart so she’s very tactile honestly, the type to tug them in for an embrace, or hold their hand, to comfortingly mumble that everything’s alright and stroke their hair yk, which is surprising because she’s aspen but yeah. aspen tends to pay a lot of attention to people in general, like she’s actually pretty observant and in tune to people’s needs despite how she acts, so depending on the person she’ll ask them what’s wrong and try to see if they want to talk about it, or just distract them by telling them jokes or trying to cheer them up. she also tends to lean towards acts of service, getting them tea, or water or food they like to try and make them feel better too, like aspen is honestly an a+ comforter when she actually cares about who she’s comforting, otherwise she’s a mess.
