hc + sports

the only sports aspen has done (or likely will ever do) are gymnastics, dance, and cheer (yes she strongly believes cheer is a sport and she will rip into whoever says otherwise). she’s actually has a genuine talent for gymnastics (your girl is Bendy) and she’s been doing it since she was about four or five i’d say? her talent is how she earned her spot as cheer captain honestly, although aspen isn’t really that passionate about gymnastics in all honesty. she does have fun with it occasionally, but it’s the same amount of fun she has making up inappropriate cheers you know, it’s just a hobby.

“leo? where do i even begin? he’s leo. i’ve valiantly tolerated him since kindergarten, although sometimes i have to wonder why. actually, i think that’s really all i really ever did while we were dating... well, in between the arguing and the sex of course-- which, was really the only good part of the whole arrangement if i’m honest, so i’m glad we kept that going. anyways, like i said, he’s leo. he’s always just been there, and he likely always will be. and vice versa of course, i’m not going anywhere, no matter how much that might bother his constantly changing rotation 'girlfriends’. but you know, i don’t understand why they complain so much, life is full of hard pills to swallow: global warming, the concept of time, the fact that i’m fucking their boyfriend...” she shrugs, rolling her eyes even as her lips twitch into a smile, “they’ll get over all of it in time i’m sure, and if not well i’m sure also they’ll be gone by the end of the week anyways.” @goldblcd

oof, it depends on who it is tbh. like i’m ngl, if it’s a stranger or someone who aspen doesn’t really care about, she is so bad at it, and that’s if she even tries at all. like she’s the type to awkwardly pat someone’s head while cringing tbh like skjdskjsd she doesn’t know wtf to do. but if it’s someone who aspen knows and cares about it’s a different story? because even though aspen is a Little Shit she cares about the people she actually gives a fuck about with her whole heart so she’s very tactile honestly, the type to tug them in for an embrace, or hold their hand, to comfortingly mumble that everything’s alright and stroke their hair yk, which is surprising because she’s aspen but yeah. aspen tends to pay a lot of attention to people in general, like she’s actually pretty observant and in tune to people’s needs despite how she acts, so depending on the person she’ll ask them what’s wrong and try to see if they want to talk about it, or just distract them by telling them jokes or trying to cheer them up. she also tends to lean towards acts of service, getting them tea, or water or food they like to try and make them feel better too, like aspen is honestly an a+ comforter when she actually cares about who she’s comforting, otherwise she’s a mess.

an angry aspen is a force to be reckoned with honestly. she’s the type who gets really focused when she’s pissed? like she’s not the type to be blind with rage, it’s quite the opposite like anger drives her to make the person who pissed her off’s life a living hell lmao. aspen also tends to swap sadness for anger a lot of the time, like when she’s really upset she just decides to get angry instead and take out said anger on whoever made her sad, so yeah, aspen truly angry can be really, really mean tbh, but it isn’t too often that she gets that way! there’s also a big difference between annoyed aspen and angry aspen tbh, because angry aspen is uglier if that makes sense, like she’s just really vengeful.

hc + pet peeves

oof, aspen’s pet peeves range from things like people leaving the cap off the toothpaste (she hates it,,, she hates it, she HATES it) to slow drivers (she has MAD road rage) and even indecisive people (it’s one of the worst traits she thinks a person can have like, if aspen asks you to pick a restaurant and you take longer than five minutes to make a decision you no longer have a decision to make, SHE is making the decision for you because you obviously can’t handle the responsibility sdksdjk), but i think her biggest pet peeve of ALL TIME is being ignored. ignore aspen and she will fight you i swear! and like it doesn’t matter who it is, it could be a service worker who dismisses her flippantly because they’re busy or like a close friend, either way aspen’s blood is Boiling like skjdsks it goes from 0 to 100 real quick!

these things were a more convoluted idea of giving their time – and fake money ? he’s not sure how the casino aspect works — to charity. and gray doesn’t believe the charity aspect in the slightest, but he doesn’t want to be considered a downer so his mouth stays shut. there’s few people he recognizes from school and people his foster parents had introduced over the month or so he’d been with them, but the townsends were nice people, so of course they’re going have lots of friends. “maybe that works,” he shrugs because she seems more knowledgeable on how to get away with things like this. the look on her phone is something he knows is more of a command than an offer, and gray figures he’s not doing anything else. “you know the casino like the back of your hand?” it’s an odd question but he’s not sure if he’s fully understanding what she means.the male moves from his spot on the wall, head tilted. “yeah, yeah, i’ll go.”

“oh, ‘maybe’? what a vote of confidence.” aspen teases as her lips curve into a wider smile, eyebrows arching playfully before she’s shaking her head in amusement. she didn’t know what quite to make of this guy, but he seemed willing enough to let her lead. and really that’s what mattered. she arches her brow at his question, easily replying. “are you doubting that i could know a casino like the back of my hand? rude.” aspen jokes lightly as she narrows her eyes playfully at the brunet, but ultimately she gives in and decides to indulge him by answering the question, “but, if you must know, this isn’t always a casino. it’s just the country club. they’ve made it over for tonight though, and they’ll likely redecorate it again for the next party, but the floor plan is, of course, always the same, and considering i’ve been coming to the country club since i was in diapers, yes, i know it like the back of my hand.” aspen replies with flourish before she’s cheekily continuing, “but i’m sure the women’s club would appreciate that you thought this was a real casino. i’ll be sure to pass on the compliment.” aspen perks up as he moves from his spot, eyes bright with the thrill of having a partner to her small crime as she says, “great. follow me.” and with that aspen turns to start moving through the crowd, bottle tucked low and close to her body to hide it as she expects the other to follow. as she walks she glances back to him to quietly ask, “is this your first event in ashcroft?”

despite ajax’s reputation, he wasn’t as clean streaked as he made people believe, he wasn’t new to the whole alcohol scene and despite past accidents due to it, here he was with still the skills of it.  leaning casually on a ledge as she approached, “depends, you good at even hiding that the whole bottle.”  he opened the water bottle in his hand that was already filled with his fair share of vodka. “as sneaky as, carrying a whole bottle around this place can be.  and, i don’t think you have any place to hide that in your outfit.” he smirked, pushing himself off the ledge and taking a step towards her.  he shook his own water bottle in his hand, “i don’t think i would survive this night sober.”  he walked away, and quickly came back with a water bottle and slyly dumped the water in the nearest plant as he handed it to the girl. “ever consider a fake id?”

aspen should have expected as much from ajax. both the clever little, if semi-alcoholic inspired, bottle trick and the small lecture. she’d like to say he never changed, but... she wasn’t so sure about that. even still, she gives ajax a playfully narrowed eyed look at his advice, cocking out her hip as she quips, “well, you’ll never know now will you.” in regards to her having a place on her person to hide the bottle, her eyes glancing over ajax in a way that only promises trouble before she smirks and teasingly purrs, “... good to know you’ve been checking out my outfit though... i feel so special.” aspen smiles a moment before she’s turning her back to the crowd and opening up the bottle of grey goose, reaching forward to pluck the plastic bottle from ajax’s hand and casually put the cap of the bottle into his palm instead as she moves to fill the plastic bottle carefully. “oh, i have one. this is just more fun.” aspen arches a brow as she glances at ajax’s plastic bottle pointedly, lips pulled into a smile as she says, “...and i’m guessing you feel the same? or did the bartender give you that water bottle?”
