Kuki's dad is sent to anger management at the encouragement of his family after ending up in the hospital over his latest blow-up. Hearing his daughters worry about him and his wife telling him that she wants him around to see them grow up kills him, so he agrees. But he is adamant he won't like or learn anything from it.
He walks into the room where it's being held to dodge a flying chair and finds several people yelling at each other and throwing things. Among these people are normal civilians, such as Numbuh 362's father (Where do you think 363 gets his rage from) and Numbuh 4's mother, but he also catches a glimpse of a black silhouetted figure of a man raging toward a white silhouetted figure of a woman who proceeds to sling the water cooler at him which he narrowly dodges but gets a half frozen snowball to the face that knocks him to the ground. The silhouetted woman is knocked into by one of the civilians and turns to kick a blade of ice at them. Sticky Beard is in the corner, watching all of this while pouring the sugar meant for coffee straight into his gaping maw. The woman in white, after pointing and laughing at the man in black, grimaces at the pirate with a "Ugh, so much for coffee..." before being knocked to the ground, and Father stands with her ankle in hand and a loud "HA!" He, too, comments on Sticky Beard's actions, "Seriously? That's for the coffee, you idiot!"
Kani hears the door close behind him, and everyone glances up from their fight. It was as if the room had frozen in time. Numbuh 4's mom held a folded steel chair over Cuppa Joe, ready to slam it down on him. Father had Faust by the ankle, standing over her with a fireball in his free hand over his head. In contrast, Faust had her arm extended toward his crotch as if threatening to launch another shard of ice, moments earlier begging him to do it so she could "do the world a favor", and Sticky Beard had fallen over due to a temporary sugar coma.
The therapist, a mild-mannered-looking old man, stood there with the sweetest smile and asked everyone to take a seat if they wanted to leave, to which everyone glanced at one another and slowly pulled away from their fights.
Going around the room, Kani finds out why everyone is there.
-Father, due to backseat road rage when his limo was cut off in traffic, threw a fireball at the offending car, missed, and hit a gas station pump.
-Faust committed defenestration against a Karen from the display window of her shop after the woman wouldn't take no for an answer and demanded to "speak with the manager" when Faust removed a piece of historical memorabilia the woman tried to take out of its case for her spoiled kid, and shot icicles into the tires of the mall cop husband of hers' car when he attempted to confront Faust about it.
-After a long, stressful day of being a mom, Numbuh 4's mom had a meltdown at the local shopping center after someone cut in front of her and took the last of a sale item she was looking forward to getting. When they showed disinterest in what they did after she confronted them nicely, she ended up physically throttling them. Sydney had to pull her off of them.
-Sticky Beard is there due to an issue with a shipmate that led to said shipmate being keelhauled over a small dispute, and his crew thought it was a good move to send him to anger management.
From there, Kani's interest waned, and he didn't pay much attention to the rest of the group. Faust and Father throw catty comments back and forth, as they have broken up by now. When they were on the verge of getting into another fight, the old man placed ability-dampening bands on each of their wrists as if this wasn't his first rodeo with those possessing supernatural abilities. This made their suits retract, and both sat there in their everyday attire, looking miffed.
Kani didn't recognize either of them, but he didn't care. He just wanted to learn what he needed to so he could go home. The class is uneventful, but Kani learns some new relaxation techniques to help him control his anger. The therapist reminded him of all the reasons to keep to the methods, especially since he was the only one there who had to focus strictly on his health. Kani didn't want to think of his family living without him. Kuki and Mushi were still very young. They needed their father.
By the end of the four hours, the tension in the room had weakened. Those who were fighting before were now having more relaxed conversations about their incidents. When the therapist released them, Kani was met by his wife and daughters out in the parking lot, looking much happier than he was when he came in. Mushi and Kuki started "squabbling" over a Doctor Rainbow Monkey that Kuki brought to make her father feel better, nearly making Kani blow his top as he had done before, but at the moment he would usually start yelling, he began laughing instead.
The therapist watched the family leave and glanced around before pulling at his chin and revealing it to be a mask. Numbuh One smiled and retrieved a walkie-talkie from his pocket, relaying the message "mission accomplished." Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Faust removing her dampening bands and tossing them into the trash. A whooshing sound followed, indicating Father had done the same, and his silhouette suit returned, yet Faust's did not. Numbuh One's hand crept toward his S.P.I.C.E.R. when Father and Faust locked eyes, anticipating another fight. His uncle muttered something, which made Faust pause before nodding, and the two walked off toward Father's limo, causing Nigel to narrow his eyes.
