Tony actually snapped his mouth closed and looked at Bruce with worried surprise. He knew that if Bruce had a headache, over-the-counter stuff wouldn’t work for him. “I could give you a neck rub,” he offered with sympathy in his voice.
Bruce took a deep breath, eyes closed and leaning against the table. “I’m sorry, Tony. I didn’t mean to... to snap at you.” Normally, he didn’t mind his friend’s almost constant chattering, but when his head was pounding like this, light feeling like spikes drilling into his eyes, Tony’s voice was grating. “No, I’ll be fine,” he replied, trying to give the engineer a small smile. Bruce wasn’t lying, he would be fine eventually, but right now, he felt more like hiding somewhere cool and dark than working. However, work wouldn’t finish by itself.
