How does getting your stomach pumped work? Like what happens?
They put a tube that runs from the patient's nose to their stomach, and then put activated charcoal mixed with water down the tube. They slosh it around with a syringe that's attached to the end of the tube on the outside of the body, then suck it all out with the syringe or with wall suction and repeat either with more charcoal or just with water a number of times until there's nothing left in the stomach.
