The more I think about it the more Jonathan's sarcastic comment about Steve being in charge doesn't make sense because like, half the time he himself was getting high with Argyle. It's just one of those moments I guess where Jonathan needed to make a jealous snide comment about Steve. Meanwhile, Steve was asking out Nancy and Jonathan while they were in the Creel house. Although, now that I think about it, Steve getting offended when he hears about it:
"And after I asked you and Nancy out!"
"What? That was you asking us both out?!" Nancy asked.
"Well, yeah, I used Robin to cover it up just in case you thought it was stupid," Steve said.
"You only mentioned me in the RV, though," Nancy said.
"No, I was sure I mentioned Jonathan, too," Steve said.
"No, just me," Nancy said.
"No, I said the important part of the dream was that you were there," Steve said.
"Yeah, just me!" Nancy exclaimed.
"I was talking about you and Jonathan!"
"Well, you should have just said that!" Nancy exclaimed.
"I thought it was heavily implied that I was in love with Jonathan, too!" Steve exclaimed, throwing his hands up.
"How was I supposed to figure that out?!" Nancy yelled.
"When I asked you and Jonathan out!"
"It wasn't very clear!" She screamed.
"Okay, well, the important part of that dream. . .about all of it is that you and Jonathan were there!" Steve yelled. "Is that clear enough for you?!"
Steve and Nancy stared at each other, breathing heavily before bursting into laughter. Finally, after they finished laughing, they turned to Jonathan.
"You're in love with me?!" Jonathan asked, dumbfounded.
"God, Jonathan, wasn't it obvious?!" Nancy asked sarcastically before giggling.
"Okay, before we move onto the RV which is far into the future. . .there's one very important question that you both need to answer, do you guys want to go out with me?" Steve asked, his hands on his hips.
Nancy and Jonathan stared at each other before smiling.
"I'm sorry, Steve, I never should have doubted you. . .of course, it wouldn't be so terrible if you were in charge," Jonathan said.
"Hm, I don't know if I should forgive you or not. . .I think the apology might be better in the form of a kiss," Steve said, puckering his lips.
Jonathan smiled, placing his hand on the back of his neck before moving close to Steve. His lips were nearing his before suddenly pulling back and placing a kiss on Nancy's lips. Steve gasped while Nancy laughed.
"You didn't say it had to be you I had to kiss," Jonathan said.
"It was implied!" Steve yelled and then whined. "Nancy, our boyfriend is an asshole!"
