Guys I have literally no google 1 storage left but there is literally nothing for me to delete and I still got a bunch of storage on my phone what the fuck am i supposed to do it says its photos but I have literally no photos and the recommended stuff to delete is quite literally empty

tech notes for myself - part.1

how to check which storage device you have on your computer (windows 10).

select the windows icon, click the 'settings' option, select 'system', select 'about', look under 'device specifications' and you will see the storage. the storage should mention how much SSD (solid state drive) and/or HDD (hard disk drive) you have.

how to allocate storage to either SSD or HDD :

if you're currently saving data onto an SSD but it doesn't have enough space, you could change the default save option to the HDD instead to help free up space on the SSD.

go to 'settings' again, select 'system', select 'storage', select 'change where new content is saved', and choose which items you'd like to save to either drive (windows C: (SSD) or new volume E: (HDD) or whatever letter you have assigned them).

you could also check the disk management (hold the windows key + x) and you should be able to view the different storage devices on your computer, how much free space they have left and their capacity.

(i'm saving any troubleshooting tips here for myself. that's all for now.)
