Whipped up a map of the various areas beneath Stormgate, the massive city setting of my D&D game.
I love the way worldbuilding just kind of piles up the longer you spend in one setting.
Here’s a concept I did for the main guard force in Stormgate, known as Bluecoats.
Stormgate is the city I’m running my main D&D campaign in. The players are undermining a fascist dictatorship, so I figured I’d make the guards look appropriately fascist.
Another design consideration I made for this was that they’d have to deal with rain all the time. Stormgate has magical superstorms every 5 days, but lots of shitty weather between them as well. So the helmet and coat are designed to keep off rain, and everything has straps and buttons to stand up to high winds.
