ok so I started working on this MONTHS AGO (I’m so sorry it took so long, I’ve been working on a bunch of different art pieces at once and also I’ve been distracted by umamusume) but it’s finally done!!

Bonus fun fact: I’m currently debating between Olive/Oliver and Gabriel for its name pre-circus

Ok so I’ve been a Caine defender since episode one, I wanted wholesome art of him cus I feel so bad for him, I brought up the idea for this drawing to my friend @digitalstarz and he loved it, and I wanted an excuse to talk about Wisper and Caine’s relationship. Pre-circus, Wisper worked with little kids at a daycare (primarily kids with various disabilities). Caine’s behavior shares a lot of similarities with that of a child, as well as several traits common with people who have adhd and/or autism (what with the rejection sensitive dysphoria, putting a lot of stress on having things go a certain way and following plans and expectations, struggling to understand human social interaction, etc.). So Wisper, as someone trained to know how to work with this kind of person, is probably the most tolerant of Caine and the closest with Caine of the rest of the circus. It’ll try and explain things to Caine in a way that might be easier to understand, invite Caine to join them for jigsaw puzzles or card games, offer advice to him where he needs it, and is generally just relatively kind and friendly with him. Mind you though, Wisper does still find Caine’s actions off-putting and concerning, and somewhat resents him for his disregard of human experiences such as pain, loss, connection, etc.

Well since the beach episode was announced (and boy do I have thoughts on the canon outfits) I figured I should draw Wisper’s. And yeah if yall didn’t know, it got plush arms under its . . . . . . Sleeves? I mean they’re part of its body. Oh also, if Wisper was more humanoid/when Wisper was still human, in addition to the hair pulled back with the bandana, I also imagine them wearing like a one piece rash guard swimsuit
Wisper is British
As such the logical conclusion is that Jax would make fun of it any time it says something remotely British
sidenote: as of now their voice claim has been updated! The most fitting voice I’ve found as of now is Paddington (tho very honorable mention to Jonathan Sims from the Magnus Archives)
When I first made Wisper I actually intended to ship them with Gangle. But since then Wisper has changed a lot and I’ve gotten into abstragedy. So now we have Abstribblanket (yes they have a ship name) (I also have names for a bunch of other Wisper ships and rambles about them, if y’all would ever want to see that pls let me know) oh also this doodle was based on a dream I had a while ago
