I think a lot of classical portrait compositions show up in my work and it shows.

I think lips are the easiest, they're very simple shapes to me.

I like painting flowers and different kinds of plants.

Look. Sometimes, all I have in my head is an Aesthetic. a Feeling. Une... emotion. At that point, I would LOVE to be able to like. doodle six potential poses or scenes and have it magically come out not looking like something I should be burned at the stake for. But I cannot do that. 

So all I have left is open-handed gesturing like LOOK AT MY OCS. THEY SURE ARE THERE WITH THEIR AESTHETICS. YOU KNOW HOW THIRTEEN KIND OF REMINDS ME OF A CREEPY BALL-JOINTED DOLL. ONE OF THOSE SPINNING BALLERINAS IN A MUSIC BOX, EXCEPT ALL CRACKED AND FUCKED UP. 

Does any of this make sense?! Nope!! And I can’t tell this nonsense to a complete stranger. I’m aware that even telling it to a friend is ridiculous and exasperating. I would love to be self-indulgent and make self-indulgent art. But I would be arrested and put in Dumb Gay Baby Jail for my crimes against the Art Gods.

Han/Leia. i’m sorry i just don’t like them together. Han’s behavior in Empire strikes back is just so wrong and I get that lots of ppl love it for the nostalgia and chemistry but as canon proved they could never be a functional couple together. I also hc Leia as a lesbian so ye... in my verse leia dumped him and married holdo and they raised kylo together :’) Holdo would make a great stepmum!

hmm wonder if “unpopular” means it’s a ship that gets lots of hate or just a rarepair. in either case I’ll say Bane/Anakin. it’s alaways been my OTP and yet it has basically no following...i feel like I’m just sitting in the liferaft of this ship in the middle of the ocean.

ok this one might make me sound like an asshole but lots of fans seem to headcanon Luke as trans and I’m like.. huh??? I’m all for trans headacnons but this one makes no sense at all? when Luke was born Obi Wan said “it’s a boy” and Padme named him. Unless we’re talking that Luke is amab nonbinary or agender which I never see people saying either (unless I’m like totally misreading all the “luke is trans” posts i’ve seen?) So the only way this theory could even work is if Leia is a trans girl? But of course trans boy hc’s are waaaaay more popular than trans girl hc’s so here we are :’’’’) idk how even popular this is but i see it mentioned quite a bit idk. it just confuses me haha

1. Full nameI’m… I’m not sure? I think it’s actually Ezekiel, or at least it was a long time ago. He’d probably just give you the name Xiq tho, if not out of habit than in protection of his best interest.

2. Best friendCarlotta. They go back, y’know? Like…wwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy back. He’s pretty close to Wick too, despite his shenanigans.

3. SexualityI’ve…actually been wondering that myself. I don’t even think HE knows.

4. Favorite colorProbably blue, like the sky or the ocean. The shades that are wide and deep and free.

What does most people in your setting do that your character thinks is dumb? With Xiq??

Hmm….It’s not exactly specific to the setting, but I’d say that probably the biggest thing that bugs Xiq is the fact that EVERYONE has to make a big deal out of EVERYTHING.

It’s your birthday/wedding/baby shower? Cool let’s waste time and money on all this stuff to impress people whose opinions probably don’t even matter in the long run (which to him is like 90% of all ceremonies really).

Someone committed a crime? That’s bad but is so bad that the entire town has to witness something that isn’t any of their business?

Ceremony for the gods? ….well okay they’re gods and that’s different but even daily things like praying? People get in a tizzy about how to “properly speak to the gods” and it’s like my buddy my guy it’s not that big a problem, you can just talk to ‘em they can hear you just CHILL.

Like people put so many hoops to jump through in their own paths that can be SO EASILY AVOIDED if you just do the thing and get it over with. And it’s not that he thinks they aren’t important, but he just doesn’t understand why people get so caught up on the formalities.
