Self-publishing is awesome, but—if done properly—it requires an almost inhuman attention to detail. This book got a rough start with the postproduction. A day after I submitted the master files I found a fucking typo on the cover. It slipped through all 1000 checks I did. So I had to replace everything and that caused a huge delay with the distribution, practically eliminating the preorder period I planned for the paperback. However, everything’s well when it ends well, so now I can finally exhale. And move on to marketing. Which is just as hard. Books are like children. You get them for life 😍
