Hello and Welcome! I hope this finds you safe and well.✨ I write ensemble arcs with forensic intimacy and legacy‑coded...
Before readers fall in love with your story… they judge it. Fast.
They won’t tell you why they stopped. They won’t explain what felt off. They’ll just close the book.
That’s where I come in.
I read like your future audience noticing weak openings, confusing scenes, slow pacing, and characters that don’t feel real yet… then I show you exactly how it affects the reading experience.
No sugarcoating. No discouraging either. Just clarity.
If you want your story to keep readers turning pages, send me a message and tell me what you’re writing.

Character Creation: Stratius Drafting
Peeling back the layers of character design — a new deep‑dive into the Stratius Drafting method is now live. This approach looks at how characters are built from the inside out: their structure, their purpose, their emotional architecture, and the narrative gravity that shapes them long before they appear on the page.
If you’re into worldbuilding, writing craft, or just love seeing how fictional minds are engineered, this one goes straight into the blueprint stage.
Read it here: https://rldouglas.com/character-creation-stratius-drafting
Reblogs welcome for all who wish to explore the craft behind character creation.
Before You Call It “Done”
Finishing a draft feels like the hard part , but knowing how it reads to someone else is what really shapes the final version.
You might know your characters, your plot, your intentions. A reader only knows what’s on the page.
That’s where beta reading comes in.
I read manuscripts with a focus on how the story actually lands ,looking at pacing, clarity, character connection, and overall flow. You’ll get clear, honest feedback on what’s working, where readers may hesitate, and what can be strengthened before you move forward.
No over-editing. No loss of voice. Just insight that helps your story connect.
If you’re at the stage where you’re asking “Is this ready?”, feel free to reach out. I’d be glad to take a look.
What’s one part of your draft you’re still unsure about?
Looking for a long-term collaborator
Hey everyone, hope you’re doing well!
Some time ago I decided to try bringing to life a Pokémon-themed project that’s been living in my head for a while: five Pokémon Legends–style stories, each set in a different region and focused on a specific Legendary or Mythical Pokémon.
At the moment these are still ideas and concepts rather than fully written stories, but I think they have a lot of potential and I’d love to develop them together with someone else.
- Pokémon Legends: Keldeo (Unova)
In a land threatened by war and a looming evil, an individual once belonging to a powerful family—whose very existence seems to have been erased from history—reappears.
Caught between old traditions and a changing world, he is forced to confront his destiny, uncover buried family secrets, and decide where he truly stands. His return isn’t driven by revenge alone, but by a truth that could change Unova forever. - Pokemon Legends: Calyrex (Galar)
When an ancient threat rises from the shadows, Galar is pushed to the brink of collapse. The Darkest Day has returned, bringing chaos and devastation to a once-prosperous land.
Two unlikely heroes must rise to face it, forging fragile alliances and making painful choices as they fight to protect the region they love. Hope comes at a cost—and the fate of Galar may depend on what they’re willing to sacrifice. - Pokémon Legends: Marshadow (Alola)
In an ancient Alola, where the line between spirit and nature is still thin, the balance of the islands begins to fracture.
As a mysterious threat approaches, a young man discovers his shadow has taken on a life of its own—becoming the refuge of a shy but incredibly powerful Pokémon. Through forgotten rituals, unexplored lands, and battles fought in darkness, he must learn whether he’s ready to protect what others fear. - Pokemon Legends: Terapagos (Paldea)
The Paldean Empire calls it “The Great Treasure.” Those who enter call it something else entirely.
Area Zero is a living abyss that twists time and devours the unprepared. In an age of exploration and sacrifice, a group of explorers descends into its depths to uncover the origin of the crystals slowly consuming the world.
Accompanied by a small creature with a shining shell, you’ll face the horror of the unknown—and its strange beauty. Remember: the abyss never gives without taking something in return. - Pokemon Legends: Magearna (Kalos) “For the king, for the soul, and for Kalos.”
Three thousand years before Lumiose City, Kalos burned in an endless war. As a desperate king defies life and death itself to reclaim what he’s lost, a mechanical heart begins to beat for the first time.
Among ruined kingdoms and blood-soaked battlefields, you must protect the last hope for peace from those who would turn it into a weapon. Discover the origin of one of the deepest bonds between humans and Pokémon—before the final petal falls.
Who I’m looking for:
Someone who genuinely loves Pokémon and wants to explore the Pokémon Legends concept with depth and care.
Some experience with writing or worldbuilding is a plus, but absolutely not required—enthusiasm matters more.
Above all, someone who enjoys exchanging ideas, brainstorming, and building a story together.
What I offer:
The chance to develop ideas that are still in my head, but with a lot of potential.
Full creative freedom: plot, characters, lore, and even mechanics can be shaped together, without pressure.
A collaborative, relaxed environment focused on creativity and having fun.
If any of this sounds interesting to you and you’d like to create something cool together, feel free to reach out.
Let’s have fun. 🌟
✨ Screenwriting Update ✨
Lately I’ve been diving deep into screenwriting, and it’s become such a huge part of my creative journey. I’m currently working on a project that blends everything I love — storytelling, worldbuilding, and visual imagination — and it’s been both challenging and rewarding to bring it to life.
I know the process can feel isolating at times, which is why I want to share it here. I’m still writing, still developing, and still building this story piece by piece. What I’m really hoping for now is to connect with others — writers, filmmakers, collaborators, or just anyone who knows the ups and downs of turning ideas into scripts.
If you’ve got advice, encouragement, or even just a shared love for storytelling, I’d love to hear from you. Support and community make such a difference, especially during the grind of long projects.
Here’s to staying consistent, creating worlds that matter, and reminding ourselves that we don’t have to do it alone. 🌙✍️
