God rewatching storymakers briefly BC reasons and like. A) Danny John Jules fine af but importantly B) the GENTLENESS with which he plays the role????? Clicked a random episode and the first five minutes he's talking to the puppet character jelly with such affection and peace, he adored the role and the purpose and you can tell. He calls her dearheart and nicknames her jellybean and just??? She's bothering him as soon as he's through the door and he's so chill with it?

There's this pervasive """""theory""""" that trading modern kids content for the millennials content, the late 90s y2k stuff, helps kids be calmer VC of pacing and colour palettes and music choices, and I'm so inclined to agree even tho it's not scientifically proven in the slightest BC like. God what a peaceful way to open a morning

WRITERS--

I have been to several writing conferences, and Storymakers is my favorite! They always sell out of tickets *extremely* quick, but because of Covid, they went virtual this year and no longer need to cap the number of attendees. This is a fantastic conference and this year you get access to 90+ classes for $160--a total steal. I have been to more expensive conferences and gotten much less out of them!

If you haven't been able to attend because of travel/expenses--this is your year! If you’ve never been to a writing conference, it’s an opportunity to learn from professional writers, agents, and editors.
