We really need to look more into the Ravenloft: Horrors Within DnD Compendium. It will release June 16th.
Ravenloft, if you weren't aware, is the basis for the Epilogue campaign.
Strahd von Zarovich (Vampire Mike) is one of the featured Darklords and the cover figure. He is cursed to pursue reincarnations of the love of his life. For which he killed is own brother and agreed to a pact with the dark forces which eventually made him the first vampire.
There are 17 Dark lords in total. Vecna is also a dark lord who ascended into divinity.
I just think it can't be a coincidence that they used ravenloft as a campaign hook in the Epilogue 6 Month before DnD releases a new Ravenloft compendium.

Will, for some reason, plays a character named 'Will the Wise.' Why is he the only one who doesn't have a separate character name?
OBVIOUSLY, Will is not just playing a wizard. He's a sorcerer, a real life, honest to God sorcerer, and his powers are innate, guuysss.

hell yeah I wanted to write a byler fic but needed to make a reference so of course I found myself reading those fancy 80s D&D rulebooks and modules for like 5 hours #time_managment_goals
They’re super fun to read, btw! Maybe I’ll make some posts exclusively on the fun things I learned about the older D&D editions. But for now, let’s just appreciate the illustrations from AD&D book.
