it was 11:59pm and you were sitting on the control console in the squak, slowly drifting off as a madonna song played over the speaker.
“if you don’t wake up, this crawl could fail miserably and it’d all be your fault”
you sigh and sit up, your curly blonde hair falling behind your shoulders as you rub your eyes. “i’m not gonna be very helpful if I’m half asleep anyways” you mutter.
steve rolls around in his chair to face you and says “well i’m pretty sure you’d be more valuable unconscious than me right now”
“that’s not true steve you’re a big help” you narrow your eyebrows slightly “like that time you…um-”
“exactly” he argues
“killed the russians!” you exclaim “and with vecna last year, and the bat with the demos”
“but you see, and this is important, you’re always there to help me” he says, giving an insincere smile
“okay well i didn’t kick russian ass like you did” you argue back “you can cross that off of your bucket list”
steve chuckles “y’know, tiff, if you weren’t yourself i’d say you’re basically telling me how amazing, hot, sexy…”
you stop him immediately, laughing “okay all i said was that you’re good help, nothing about your appearance”
he smirks and says in his usual, stupid tone, “yeah but i bet you were thinking it”
and you probably were. but you couldn’t boost his ego by telling him that. “you’re an idiot, steve harrington”
