I don’t think it’s implying that real feminism is about hating men. I think it’s saying that some feminist do hate men. Especially those that have been abused by them. And in my opinion, that’s okay. But obviously you can think otherwise :)
Some feminists do hate men. I don't necessarily think that it's healthy to extend hatred to an entire group based on a few instances of abuse, but it's definitely understandable and I don't have to agree with it to respect it as someone else's opinion. And I'm not trying to say "you can't be a feminist if you hate men" because that's not true. BUT, I think that particular post, with the deliberately excessive exclamation points, comes across (to me) as kind of mocking of people who insist that feminists as a group are not man-haters, and that grates on my nerves.
Feminism as an ideology ISN'T about hating men. Doesn't mean feminists can't hate men, but those things need to be separated and I felt like that post was conflating them, and it made me grumpy haha.
