Transandrophobia denial emboldens terfs.
No, I'm not kidding.
This goes for any kind of LGBTQ+ oppression denial btw. I saw this happen with aphobia, biphobia, panphobia etc. Division in the queer community is exploited by terfs on the regular. They see cracks in the community and work quickly to exploit them - typically through using sockpuppets, strawman arguments and grooming techniques.
Denying transandrophobia exists is *actively dangerous* and I'm already seeing some attempts by terfs to infiltrate both pro-transandrophobia (as a term) spaces and those opposed to the terms existence.
Sockpuppets are easy to spot most of the time and typically laden with dogwhistles. But sometimes they slip through the net and well meaning trans people on both sides end up mistaking sockpuppet accounts for a genuine trans people arguing against their position. Terfs being terfs, the sockpuppet will be deliberately provocative (e.g. referring to people afab as "females" or amab as "males" in amongst otherwise "trans-friendly" terminology). This is the point of dogwhistles, to go unnoticed.
But you have to be vigilant - because their only mission is to destroy trust between trans people of all stripes. Every time a terf posts in the transandrophobia tag and people against the term transandrophobia screenshot it and respond as if the terf sockpuppet is a genuine advocate for the term transandrophobia, it is enabling terfs to divide the trans community.
There have definitely been some genuine but outlandish claims by many for and against the term. But there's a point at which a post could *only* have been written by a terf and you need to get good at spotting them - or else your kneejerk response is going to do all their dirty work. Don't fall for it.
Even if you don't agree with "the other side" whoever they may be - let that just be disagreement. Still remain united with your trans siblings and try and see their point of view. Terfs can't exploit division in the trans community if we're united.
